I am SO happy we have such an amazing local coffee shop around here! I love the building it’s in, the ambience inside, and the whole atmosphere in Cryptid Coffee. I love being able to come here when I have a deadline, get a delicious drink as a treat, and always get my work done bc it’s so relaxing but also cohesive for locking in? I don’t know how they’ve done this, but it’s a great feeling every time I go.
Also, the bathroom is GORGEOUS.

Cryptid Coffee was a very pleasant surprise here in historic Pelzer, SC. It’s the 1st time I’ve been in this building since it was a 5 & dime back in the 70’s!! (I can still remember the coloring books and toys in the window!)
I enjoyed the decaf latte today, Jan. 7th, with almond milk!
So smooth

The barista was very helpful! I will definitely be back.

I coordinated a wedding here, and I ABSOLUTELY loved the ambience of this space Calle and her crew were helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. The drinks were delicious and the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were GORGEOUS! If you’re looking for a unique, historic wedding venue for a small group, here it is!

Stopped in two days ago at the suggestion of my younger brother. Got the brown sugar iced latte with an extra shot along with a blueberry cinnamon roll. Amazing flavors for both! The roll was probably THE BEST I have had anywhere. The shop is uniquely designed and staff was wonderful. I will be returning soon.

Best coffee shop in Pelzer! Cryptic has a cute boho vibe that is perfect for getting work done or having a catch up with a friend. Staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. My coffee and waffle were incredible.

To see a classic structure in a town like this restored in such a beautiful way and to have quality service and drinks available is a very pleasant surprise.
I’ll admit that I don’t personally do coffee, but by other half does. She enjoyed her latte a lot.
I have to say that their chai tea was the most spiced that I have ever had, and that was such an amazing surprise. It’s not the closest drive for me, but I will be coming back to have it again.
I would really really suggest you stop by if you are anywhere close.
Also, the upper level has a classic look that is stunning.
