Great place to stop for BBQ. The owner was there and he was amazing and helpful for everyone in our party (6). Guided us through options and made recommendations.

Great brisket and chicken. Really loved the banana pudding. Will definitely come back again.

Service was amazing. Food is very delicious and cooked perfectly. They have three flavors of sauce available to the public. They have a fourth spicier sauce behind the counter. Adds a very nice subtle spice to the brown. Well worth the stop on the way home.

That was some good stuff. Cody, the owner, came out to chat with customers every so often. I had a nice 15-minute chat with him. Come to find out everything outside of the bums and bread is made in house using family recipes. All 3 sauces are made with real sugar, not syrup. Add potato salad garnished with crispy bacon bits was so good they didn’t have mac and cheese but they do have is a rice cheese blend I would also delicious the brisket with soft moist and juicy with a happy medium of fat flavor try to stay up and not too tired and the short ribs what I do find interesting is none of the barbecue meat is made with barbecue sauce on a weather cooks or after it’s cooked it’s just smoked and or baked. Cave Creek is about 35 Mi away from where I live here in the valley but I will definitely be going back to crying coyotes barbecue it’s a drive but just like any place it’s worth it I highly recommend it and there’s more stuff I have to check out on another cheat day. All three of the sauces one is a mustard base one is a spicy sauce base in the other kids BBQ base and they each complement the meat in their own unique ways but really amplify the flavor of said meet oh God it was so good. I apologize for not having photos of my desert but I got a homemade chocolate chip cookie that had a nice definite melted hot chocolate taste to it with a hint of walnuts I don’t know if once in the cookies but that’s what my cow tongue picked up on. That ice cold root beer definitely complimented the meal I should have ordered a milk to go with the cookies live and learn I’ll remember that next time I go by like I said it’s a long trip but good food is worth any traveled. Thank you all very much for reading my review. I hope you all check it out at your leisure. Until next time, take care and good night.

Staff is friendly with a nice twang. Loved loved loved the dr.epper BBQ beans. Their take on street corn was my mom’s favorite side. I thought it was excellent as well. I had the chopped brisket sandwich. The bun was fresh and soft. The brisket was a little dry and could have had a little more fat mixed in. Love how you can taste the charcoal briskets in the meat. I really want to try the banana pudding but that will be another time. They have 3 sauces. All are slightly unique and not too spicy at all. Nice mellow BBQ. Made me miss the Carolinas; you can taste the love put into the dishes. ♡

Owner/pitmaster Cody runs a nice clean restaurant with great BBQ! We were greeted nicely with smiles from the friendly staff. Our group enjoyed the brisket, ribs & especially the wings! All the sides were delicious, especially the potato salad, slaw & beans. You don’t want to miss the cornbread muffins. Highly recommend.

Amazing BBQ in a quaint location.
We had the ribs and a chopped brisket sandwich, as well as coleslaw and potato salad for sides. The brisket was so delicious we subsequently ordered an extra pound to take home!
Everyone we interacted with was so friendly, they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.
If you’re in the Cave Creek or Carefree area, this is a legit BBQ joint!

My husband and I had lunch here this afternoon for the first time. A friendly young lady took our order after asking if she could answer any of our questions about their menu or make any recommendations. We ordered their beef brisket, which they serve 3 ways, with fat, lean, or half and half. We opted for lean, and it was absolute perfection.
we also tried the ribs. They literally fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. The ribs were also very meaty! The pulled chicken was tender and flavorful.
There are 3 different sauces for the meat, spicy BBQ, House BBQ sauce, which was so delicious, and a mustard sauce, too.
We also tried the Dr. P bean’s and scrumptious elote street corn.
We also received the opportunity to try their banana pudding. It was absolute deliciousness from start to finish. The interior of the restaurant was open, very neat, clean, and organized. It was definitely a great experience from the moment we walked in until we left. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

Have tried many BBQ places in search of good ribs. The ribs are very good – beautiful smoke ring (pink layer under the bark) which indicates authentic wood-smoked BBQ.♥️

The banana pudding was delicious. Another signature sign of awesome BBQ spot.

To top it off – the Cryin’ Coyote Barbecue team is very nice.

Thank you for the high quality BBQ. I will be back!

This place was by far the best BBQ place I’ve been to. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with 2 sides of chile relleno rice and the loaded potato salad. Great atmosphere, customer service and I plan on going back to try some of the other options.

Called in last minute after late flight to Phoenix. They had space and held food for us. Thank goodness! We had ribs, brisket, fries, pulled pork sando. Meat was fall off the bone perfect! Even had a vegetarian jackfruit option which was loved! All sides great too. Now if they just had a couple beers on tap!
