Crush creates a 5 star pizza but doesn’t appear to care what temperature the pizza is when customers pick it up.
Tonight I ordered a pizza for pick up through their ordering platform, Toast.
Upon placing the order at approximately 6:45PM, and was informed that the pizza will be ready at 7:35 PM. That’s 50 minutes for a cheese pizza. How can that be?
I guessed that it wouldn’t take them 50 minutes to make a cheese pizza on a rainy Thursday night. So I went early to pick it up. I arrived at 7:15. The pizza was ready and had been ready for some period of time because it was not hot.
My brother runs a restaurant in Boston and uses the same ordering platform, Toast, but lets his customers know – automatically through Toast – when their order is ready.
Good luck with your cold pizza.
I got two small size pizzas, pepperoni and cheese. I asked for it well done and as yoh can see from the photo if was cooked really nice. I love the large size pepperoni, it’s a nice change from the smaller size ones you find on most pizzas.
The crust is on the thin size and was very good. The sauce was excellent. If they can keep cooking my pizzas like this I will gladly go back.
This place is very obviously built for takeout and delivery (there is essentially no dine-in experience) so it’s genuinely impressive how poorly they manage it. When delivery fails (and it does), they don’t fix the problem. They deflect it and then the service gets worse.
So Uber Eats delivered the wrong order. When the driver couldn’t retrieve our actual order, I drove to the restaurant myself to pick it up. Our food was sitting there. They refused to release it unless we returned the incorrect order—food that, once delivered, cannot legally be re-served (ew).
They claimed the driver picked up the wrong order, which points to a basic failure in order labeling and pickup control. Instead of correcting their breakdown, they doubled down and made it my problem. I would have even paid for our food (again) but they were so ridiculous at the counter about getting the old food (red flags) that I left.
It’s not me, it’s you. Embarrassingly bad execution and hostile customer service. If delivery is your entire model, this level of incompetence is indefensible.
this is and will be my first and only time ordering from this chain in Quincy. They forced customers to use third-party delivery apps like GrubHub. Orders do not arrive intact. When customers call the restaurant and automated system answers the automated system is willing to take orders over the phone, but will not transfer to an active person. The system will tell you it is transferring you to an agent in the store and nobody answers. And automated recording answers telling you the call cannot be completed after five or six rings. These are the screenshots of multiple locations. I called this evening one of them. I’ve called 6 times in an attempt to speak to a person. I called the East Boston location once and the Quincy location multiple times.
