This is a Jax Beach staple. And still the Best “Heart Attack in a Basket” (Cheese Fries w/everything) I have had to date. My favorite is the Spinach Quesadilla and the staff is very nice and attentive. The updated decor is very nice but still has the vibes of the Original restaurant (1996).

We were repeat customers, but after our latest visit, probably not anymore. We usually go out of the way about 35-40 minutes to go here and tonight was probably our worst experience we’ve ever had. We got seated, it took 12 minutes to even be acknowledged by anyone and to get a server, then two more tables got sat after we did, oh by the way we were a party of two, and they git served before us. We ordered cheddar fries and bacon that were great, and I ordered a cruiser cheddar burger with bacon, medium well that was pretty rare in my opinion. I was so hungry I ate 1 half before I couldn’t anymore. And my wife’s grilled cheese sandwich was sub par to say the least this visit. To top things off they usually give out tootsie roll pops after your visit which was a staple of the place and they didn’t. I would would think for a $65 visit the service and food would be much better and consistent. Bummer that this happened this visit and probably won’t be back.

My husband came in 10/11 to pickup a call in order. He waited over an hour for 4 burgers and an order of mushrooms.
First, all of the burgers were undercooked, nowhere near med well like the menu states. Second, and the biggest, two of the 4 had mold on them. We didn’t get to check the others because they were eaten first. I assume they were moldy, too. Absolutely disgusting. We ended up tossing everything. If following proper food safety protocols, there is no reason for bread to mold.
Nobody answers the phone, so a Google review is the only way to share what happened.
Including a picture of the not busy dining room, mold, and one of the uncooked burgers a kid made a mess of.

My family and I stopped by for an early dinner/late lunch. Our waitress was extremely friendly and provided great service. She was also knowledgeable about the area and suggested a few things to do/see when asked. Our food was excellent and my picky eater ordered his own side of shrimp because he absolutely loved them. So that’s a new win for us. I ordered a salad an added marinated chicken chunks and marinated shrimp, which was full of so much flavor to the point that I barely added salad dressing. The food portions were perfect. My son was wondering about the random ducks on the rafters. It kept him busy trying to count the total ducks.

Stopped in for a bite with my wife, and had a great time at the patio bar. Good food, great atmosphere, excellent service. Had a burger with fantastic bacon and a buttered bun that were both delicious; wife had the buffalo chicken sandwich and couldn’t put it down – with a side of ranch. Stop in if you’re in the area, it’s worth it.

Went here today with my friend and her 3 young boys, I had my young daughter with me. We had a pleasant experience. The wait was not long even during lunch rush. The food was fresh and good! The owner came around to our table twice and even offered free milkshakes for the kids. Our server was great she was training someone else, I don’t remember her name unfortunately. Definitely a great place for families

The chicken needs the salad. The salad is messy.
I almost always drive out of my way. Sometimes I don’t like it. It is the fries and ranch. Their food over tempts. Sometimes it is the social interaction. I love how they even let dogs behind the outside bar and provide a blessed Lollipop. The first come area is friendly.
I always eat and pay too much unless I’m splitting with someone. I need to stay away.

My son and I have been coming here for years — burgers, fries, onion rings, open-air seating, and whatever game is on. It’s become part of our beach routine.
The staff is always friendly, the vibe is classic Jax Beach local, and you never feel rushed. The owner still jokes about remembering my son when he was younger — those personal touches make it special.
Great food, cold drinks, sports on the TVs, and a true local atmosphere. We’ll definitely keep coming back.
