Absolutely delicious! The pastries are incredible. We tried the cruffin, cruffin with vanilla cream, Nutella croissant, regular croissants, and macarons. They are all so fresh and high quality! The creams used are exceptional as well. The owner was very sweet, kind and welcoming, and she is clearly super talented. So happy this place opened. We will definitely be coming back for more!

Found this place on TikTok but stayed for the owner. It was me and my friend’s first time there and she explained everything perfectly. I loved how she even had some of the pastries on display so we could see what it looked like. She was helpful and so sweet.
My friend and I got the plain cruffins, an almond croissant, and her new Nutella croissant. Now normally I’m not a fan of Nutella but the creme was so good. It was stable and not grainy as well as not overly sweet. She even gave us some of the vanilla on the side to try it as well. Same notes it was smooth and absolutely lovely. The pastries themselves were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. You could very easily tell a lot of love went into them. Now that we know how good the place is we will definitely be coming back and trying out their other items too.

Wow. Wow. Wow. First the lady(I issuer to be the owner) is just a beautiful person. She’s very talkative and gives you that family feeling. Now the product. They are just beautifully picturesque. They are just a magical when you eat them. The powdered sugar, sliced nuts and the crispy crunch of the crust is something else. The inside is soft chewy and flavorful as I had the croissant with the chocolate on the inside. After seeing social media vids of this place the expectations are high and the results are nothing short of awesome. Combined with the down to earth people here have really won my hearth and will be back for more. Bravo Cruffincames.

My fiancé heard of Cruffin & Cakes on IG. I’m a baked goods girl but I’d never had a Cruffin or knew that it was something that was needed in my life. As I sit here typing- I’m missing the vanilla Cruffin blessing my tastebuds. I never know what to expect because I don’t like crumbly or messy desserts. I hate dusting crumbs off of shirt and pant. However, THIS is not that. First of all, Lena (Lina?), my Scorpio sister, is a breath of fresh air!! She’s personable, funny, loud like me , and has such great customer service. It’s standing room only but Lena really makes you want to pull up and chair, sit down, and talk. Only to hear her stories. Incredible woman. Now on to these Cruffins!! I love croissants. I kinda love muffins. These Cruffins she makes are masterpieces. Like from a Parisian boulangerie. My tastebuds yeeeeaarn every Saturday (the day I’m allow to cheat and have good food). Listen!! Idk what kind of non gmo ingredients she puts in these delectable creations but it’ll make you regret the years you’ve gone without it in your life. Adjective to describe The vanilla Cruffin: OMG (is that an adjective?), LITERALLY LIGHT AS MIST (the crust almost melts as soon as it touches your tongue), REAL INGREDIENTS! VANILLA, idk if it’s vanilla bean, vanilla extract, vanilla paste, vanilla vanilla, but you can taste it!! Buttery!! Real sugar! Not corn syrup. These Cruffins, I believe Lena said, is 33 layers of buttery, not too sweet, PERFECT sweetness!! The buttercream!! WHAT DIET! See!! I don’t think y’all understand!! The buttercream is like clouds of softly whipped butter but tastes like what I imagine every long weekend would taste like- if edible. Once I finally made my way through the many variables that kept distracting me, ie, butter-sugar-vanilla trifecta, then you hit the middle of this dessert where you can see each layer that has been baked into a gentle swirl protecting a pat of BUUTTERCREAM THAT WAS HIDING IN THE CENTER!!! WHAAAAT? More buttercream??? Within??? How dare you!! Needless to say, I’m glad we had bought 2, so we can go on this culinary ride again. We also bought a red velvet cake! IM NOT ASHAMED!!

Excellent local Bakery with French pastries that just recently opened!! I’ve been on the hunt for an actually good croissant in the suburbs instead of driving into Chicago and I’m happy to say I finally found one!! This is a small Bakery with high quality items! I tried their cruffin (croissant muffin) and love that you can add different flavored fillings if you want like mocha or strawberry! I got the plain one and it was excellent!
Their almond croissant was also super tasty! Their macarons are amazing as well with lots of different flavors. The texture is spot on for the macrons!!

Absolutely amazing! Lena, the owner, was so sweet and welcoming — her customer service alone deserves five stars. I tried two cruffins and two almond croissants, and they were heavenly. Everything was fresh, buttery, and full of flavor. Cruffin Sand Cakes is definitely a must-visit if you love high-quality pastries. I’ll definitely be back!
