Crudo e Nudo is a pandemic pop-up turned permanent restaurant and market from Chef Brian Bornemann and Leena Culhane. We are a raw bar inspired by the ethos of the Italian coast and the spirit of Los Angeles. Seafood is sourced from sustainable purveyors between Santa Barbara and Baja, and vegetables and herbs are from Santa Monica Farmers Markets. We believe in sustainability, beauty, and community.

Restroom is a little janky in a charming way. The outdoor seating is done well for a parklet. Paper napkins. Waitress was lovely. We did a long lunch and never felt rushed.
Left feel extremely contented. Really can’t hard on how well they’re doing crudos enough. Blissful uni.
Crudo e Nudo change their menu constantly based on what has been freshly caught. That dedicated to sourcing food based on seasonality is evident in their fresh and flavorful dishes.
Everything from the sauces, to the broths, to the quality and flavour of the fish, is truly remarkable. I literally polished off each of my plates. Even the shishito peppers blew me away!
The server was also very attentive, and ensure a gluten free safe meal
If you don’t mind a splurge (or being treated like me ), this is a definite, definite must in the area.
Saw the tuna tartar toast and it looked amazing. Prices were reasonable.
The chef lets the ingredients speak for themselves . You can tell that they use the highest quality fish and they do little to the seafood, but they know how to elevate each ingredients.
The Kampachi and percebes really stood out to me. As well as the grilled prawns with the green melon. Truly unbelievable. Every single dish on the menu is 10 out of 10. You will not disappointed with a meal here, please treat yourself and go as soon as you can.
But guess what? We were locked into the $125 pp prix fixe once we arrived. And canceling then would’ve costed $30 deposit per person and nowhere else to go, so we stuck it through.
We probably would’ve spent more a la carte by ordering more raw seafood and more drinks, instead of being locked into two big plates of veggies/salad and a rich creamy gnocchi.
I overheard other tables questioning the same thing, so we weren’t the only ones feeling slighted by the bait and switch. Not to mention the waitresses were not that friendly, especially when for every other table they had to tell diners to go back inside to check the drinks menu board. They were either not letting them know before seating or just expected people to know.
It’s funny because why not just post the menu online via QR code on each table? Cause people taking photos of the board themselves and then having to send it to their partners isn’t going to get people off their phones during dinner either.
It’s totally fine and reasonable to do a prix fixe menu on special events, but it ought to be communicated to those who PAID to reserve a seat in advance.
Let’s go to the food, great selection of raw fishes and seafood such the abalone or halibut. They do have a couple of vegetarian options such the mezze, the salad and the potatoes. However, if you come here, be ready to eat some fish. Or drink…The wine list is straight to the point and definitely nice to pair with your dishes.
