Love cru. Absolutely love the place. I don’t even know much about wine but when I ask them for suggestions and tell them what I like I always get a good suggestion that I enjoy.
The food is incredible. I suggest the Tuscan monk pizza, it’s a one of a kind.
The atmosphere is intimate but still very friendly and local. The selection of local beers on draft is also really nice. I’ve met a number of the bartenders and they’ve all been great and the owner Bryan is cool.
Also they have some local artists work on the wall and that’s always cool to see any local businesses supporting local artists!

The Mrs. and I were shopping for outdoor dining tables which is hungry work so, we looked for somewhere to get a late lunch.
I remembered we had tried Cru Tap and Wine prior to them having a food menu,so we headed downtown to check it out again.
We were not disappointed. We ordered a merlot which wasn’t in-stock, so Brian recommended a good Washington state vintage. We like Washington wines. They seem to have more of an earthy flavor than CA wines, but we are not experts.
For lunch we ordered the B&C pizza. . It consisted of beef, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, cheese and balsamic glaze. Very good!
This is an excellent spot. You should check it out.

LOVE this place. There are only a few places in the area to sit and enjoy a nice glass of wine (or beer) in Florence. This place is unpretentious, yet classy and the pizzas are phenomenal

The hidden gem of hidden gems in the city of Florence. We finished some training downtown and wanted a bite, got invited to Cru. Really expected fancy, up tight, wine stuff. Way off.
This place has THE best pizza around. I’m a pizza diva – this place is IT. Get the hot honey on the side, so good. Also had a cocktail, or so I thought! Ordered an Espresso Martini – got their take on it, a wine based Espresso drink. It was fantastic. This place is sneaky good.
Highly recommend for a date night or just some pizza and beers!

Excellent wine list. Small but a great atmosphere. Staff is always welcoming. Pizza is excellent. Definitely a must try if in downtown Florence.

Bryan is very laid back, easy to talk to, and tells it like it is. Which is rare nowadays. A nice, casual environment makes even the least knowledgeable about wine feel welcome and comfortable. Much better experience than the uppity wine bars that you’d expect. I stopped in for a couple while in town for work and if I make it back out to the Florence area in the future, I will give him another visit. Be sure to stop in if you’re passing by and you won’t be disappointed.
