Im not mad, but I am disappointed. The servers and kitchen both performed well, but CRÚ is shockingly unaccommodating of food allergies and the value for the experience is *very* poor – especially when other, better options exist in Fenton.

We went for Valentines Day Dinner, which I would not recommend. It was our first visit – and we were looking forward to trying the wine flights and the various dishes. The restaurant, known for flights and various small dishes, locked us into a valentines 4-course evening menu and would not offer flights. Many of the courses were heavily shellfish-based, I have a serious shellfish allergy, and couldn’t partake in the first course (the only option was a shellfish soup), and had extremely limited options on the other 3 courses. When I brought this up to the waitress, she said the restaurant had no wiggle room on the menu, and management would not allow any substitutions – and many other customers with allergies had brought it up before us.

So – we had to go without the first of the four courses (we still got charged for it, of course.) – and we had extremely little choice in what we were able to order for the rest of the dinner. Not offering flights was also extremely disappointing, as we were looking forward to trying everything on offer.

Overall, what we did eat *was* really good, and our server was attentive and super polite. But for a $200+ dinner and customers with food allergies, it was a disappointing and an incredibly frustrating experience. There are many places to dine in Fenton, and you’d be better served to take your business somewhere other than Cru – especially if you’re looking for something easy, accommodating, or if someone in your party has a food allergy.

Janisia was perfect! Accommodating but not pushy, gracious to our teen. The good is delicious for “foodie” tastes. I especially loved the goat cheeses Beignets and the Prosciutto and Fig pizza. The Cabernet is King flight was fantastic and left me deciding which was best. My husband was still able to enjoy an IPA. It’s beautiful inside, but did get a little loud once it filled up. Still, an overall lovely experience!

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for incredible food and warm hospitality. We arrived around 8:15pm and, while the kitchen was clearly slammed (it took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive), the servers and owners were attentive and kind throughout. In fact, the owner even comped one of our wine flights—which was such a thoughtful gesture and definitely not expected.

The food? Absolutely worth the wait. Every dish we tried was outstanding. The lamb was perfectly cooked, the meatballs were rich and flavorful, and the pear Gorgonzola pizza was a surprising standout—savory, sweet, and totally addictive.

If you’re thinking about going, do it. Just maybe plan for a little extra time if it’s later in the evening. It’s clear they care deeply about their guests and the quality of their food. We’ll definitely be back!

It took quite a while to receive wine or food. Wine and food came out close to the same time. I ordered the limited special, chicken Parmesan, it was bland and left a lot to be desired. My friends ordered the goat cheese beignets, they were very yummy! I’d asked for a pizza to go, no problem paying for it – the chef apparently messed it up and then had to remake it. I was with a group heading to a movie so we didn’t have additional time to wait. Had to cancel the pizza. I left less than satisfied. After a less than subpar experience, there was no effort to make it right. I will not be back, nor recommend.

• Those giant wine glasses? Pure fun and extra enjoyment!

• Major kudos to Manager Devin – a true New Yorker with energy and a hilarious, comical personality that kept us laughing all night
• Devin and Jack are the new game-changers in hospitality, making the experience unforgettable!

All around good time! Servers were fun, personable and knowledgeable, food was stellar, wine was delightful (and a significant variety to choose from). Nothing bad to say, will be going back, even if its just to get more of the friend goat cheese beignets!

I used to really enjoy Cru—their wine flights are excellent. Unfortunately, today I had one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.We ordered the pear and Gorgonzola pizza, and our waitress asked if we wanted to add prosciutto. We agreed. When the pizza arrived, I immediately noticed there was no prosciutto. I politely pointed this out, but the waitress insisted that it was there, saying the prosciutto came in “small bites.” I mentioned to her twice. As you can see in the photo, there was no prosciutto on the pizza—only onions, cheese, and pear. Yet we were charged an additional $6 for something that was never added.I also ordered the scallops with risotto, which was noticeably smaller than usual. While I understand that times are difficult and inflation affects portion sizes, what I cannot accept is being charged for an item that was not provided—and then being dismissed when I raised the concern.Good service means listening to your guests and making things right when mistakes happen. Instead, my concern was brushed off, leaving me feeling undervalued as a customer. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to Cru.

We were there on a weekday afternoon. The staff was pleasant, and the first flight came out quickly. The charcuterie took more than 20 minutes. The wine flights are great, top shelf wines and nice groupings.

We ordered pizza and that was great. Full flavors and pairs well with our wine selections.

We will be back.
