Then the fact you’re sitting in a building built around 1860 – it’s just a magical experience
The bar area is quaint, has a nice fireplace, and the bartender was excellent.
I’ll return to try some of their other tempting offerings.
Over the summer, I attended a rehearsal dinner for some of my best friends. From the moment we arrived, the owner’s attitude was off-putting. Rather than making us feel welcome, they were rude and disrespectful throughout our visit. This set an uncomfortable tone for the entire evening.
Things went from bad to worse when the chef, who appeared to be intoxicated, repeatedly interrupted speeches during our event. This was not only unprofessional but deeply embarrassing for everyone involved.
As for the food, it was equally disappointing. The BBQ chicken tasted like it had been boiled and then drowsily slathered with cheap bottled BBQ sauce—there was no hint of proper grilling or smoking. The flank steak was so tough and rubbery, making it nearly impossible to chew.
Between the hostile service, unprofessional behavior, and subpar food quality, I cannot recommend this place (even though it was super cute).
I feel absolutely terrible for the couple who paid a significant amount of money
.
The issues began with the food, which was virtually inedible. The main courses were grossly misrepresented and poorly executed. The BBQ chicken was cold, flabby, and tasted like boiled meat topped with cheap sauce. The steak was overcooked, tough as rubber. For the price paid, the food was a complete failure.
What made the situation truly alarming, however, the head chef visibly intoxicated and acting disruptively during service. It was shocking to see the person responsible for the meal in such a condition at a professional event.
