A rare All-You-Can-Eat Indian buffet with plenty of Vegetarian (Sa’ag Paneer, Chana Masala, Aloo Gobi, etc) and Carnivore (Chicken Masala, Tikka Tandoori; Goat Curry, etc) options! There was a nice little salad bar with fresh Raita and green Chutney… and they serve fresh Na’an at tableside.

Where do I start? Walking into the restaurant itself is an experience. The place is beautiful. My group and I were commenting on the ornate doors that were inside. Once we were sat, our server was very thorough in making sure we got everything we wanted/ needed, even making some suggestions. The food arrived, with very generous proportions i might add. After taking a few delicious bites, the owner came over to check on us and to see if everything was to our liking. He seemed like a very sincere, kind, funny man. After cracking a few jokes, he made sure to let us know that if we had any issues, we could always come to him, and he’d gladly fix it. Did I mention the food was delicious? Everyone in my group cleared our plates. When we were done, the servers quickly cleared our plates, and the owner came back around to see how everything was and if we were happy with the service given.

Absolutely love the food at Crown of India! We usually do a delivery but that takes away a lot of flavors you’d otherwise experience in dine in. It’s authentic Indian flavors, very rare in New Jersey, and the service is outstanding. We will highly recommend this place for authentic flavors and good portion size!

Loved it here! First time there and definitely planning on going back with more friends and family! For the Mother’s day event there was a variety of delicious fresh food and live music! The owner and staff were very friendly and strive to make you feel welcomed and at home I can’t wait to go back!

We are long time residents of Plainsboro and have often eaten at the Crown of India especially during the Indian holiday festivities. This time we wanted to order a single chicken dish (Karai Chicken) as a take out. The food was horrible. The food was not seasoned, onions not fried and the chicken was at best boiled and put in a tomato gravy. Very disappointed! Will not order from here again, as there are much better places to order Indian food in the area.

We usually don’t go to buffets. We went to lunch, it was a buffet. The waiter barely greeted us, never advised where to sit, never explained that it is a buffet etc, so we just sat there. We were waiting to be served, I had to call him and ask if it’s only buffet. He never came to our table and offered any drinks. There was a pitcher covered with foil, guess it was water. We asked for Coke Zero he brought Diet Coke. We just smiled and thank him. Since I frequently eat Indian foods throughout the country, I can tell you that this food was very average. Nothing to say that it was delicious that I must come back. I thought the place was definitely not a “Crowned “ restaurant. Not as clean as some other Indian restaurants that I have been to. Terrible service, not fit for the word crown. The waiter had no idea how to be of service to his customers. Will not be going back.

Food was good. I had placed an order on grubhub for pick up, I arrived slightly after the time it had said it would be ready. Upon arrival, it was discovered that they had never made my ordered. I proceeded to have to wait over 20 minutes for my order to be made. Food was good, but the service was lacking.

I love this place !! Fast service, delicious food, I eat here once a week! In this place was my first time eating Indian food and now it’s one of my favorites ever! I love it.
