I’ve been a regular at Crown Fried Chicken & Gyro for late-night meals, and it’s usually been a reliable spot for affordable, tasty food. However, my visit after midnight on June 3 (12.10 am) was a complete letdown and, frankly, the worst experience I’ve had here. I ordered the chicken over rice (no salad), and after waiting 10-15 minutes as promised, I was hopeful for the usual satisfying meal. But as soon as I started eating in my car, I noticed the rice was sticky and had an off-putting smell, clearly spoiled. Thinking maybe it was just a one-off, I took a couple of bites, but it was undeniable—the food was bad.
I went back inside to address this with the guy at the front register, hoping for a resolution. Instead, he laughed it off, insisted the food was “fresh,” and practically forced me to keep eating it. I explained that I’ve eaten here many times and know what good food tastes like, but he was reckless, kept laughing, and showed a dismissive attitude. It felt disrespectful, especially since I paid for the meal around $14 and got nothing edible in return , I didn’t ask them for money I said I need replacement but they denied . His behavior, telling me to “tone down” my attitude when I was rightfully upset, made the situation worse. I left the food there and walked out, completely frustrated.
This experience has soured me on Crown Fried Chicken & Gyro. The food quality was unacceptable for this time ( all the time it’s good for me ), unprofessional response made it even worse. 1/5 stars.

I wish I could rate this place -1000 stars. The worst food spot I’ve ever been to. They NEVER have your food ready even if you order ahead they won’t start your order until you are in the store and have waited for 20 minutes. This store is also extremely disgusting, looks like nothing has been cleaned in years. The staff is extremely rude and condescending. I was first in line and they helped EVERY other person before me because I didn’t speak up at first. I will NEVER order from here again and I hope you don’t either. This place needs to be shut down.

The ratio of white sauce was perfect,I even ordered an extra packet, but it wasn’t needed. The portion size was just right for the price, making it a great value. Overall, a solid 4/5!

Crown Fried Chicken & Gyro in Glassboro is a gem! The service is always amazing, and the staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. Their food is consistently delicious, perfect for late-night cravings after long research hours. With their convenient hours open until 3 am, it’s the ideal spot for night owls needing a tasty meal. However, the prices are comparatively very high, which can be a downside. For example, a simple Gyro over rice would cost $15, which should not be more than $10. Business owners should consider lowering prices to encourage more repeat customers.

I placed an order to pickup at this small chicken place because I wanted fried chicken. When I went to pick it up, they hadn’t even acknowledged there was an order, requiring me to wait longer. I got a box of fried chicken and two buns. The chicken was alright but far from what good fried chicken tastes like.

I asked for the rice platter with sauce and salad No chicken. I said it 3 times to 2 different people, then he asks me if I’m sure that’s what I want?! Why of course I’m sure I came in here and ordered it. Which I didn’t understand the confusion because I’ve gotten it plenty of times they were just New! Then I asked for 3 wings. I get home and open my platter up, there’s So much Sauce that it was spilling out the container! Just Nasty! No salad! Oh but they gave me an extra wing!?? I’m not going back!!
