Very nice spot. Tables and area was clean, we were sat right away. There are so many drink options especially beer. Very good menu options. I chose chicken tacos, my husband did the chicken meal. The chicken was well seasoned in both meals, and it comes with sauce like canes. The drinks are strong and the bartender was quick. The server was nice, and attentive and i enjoyed the tvs to watch the game. We will definitely be back.

We visited with a party of 3 on a Wed evening. I was surprised that the place was basically empty. At 1st that made me assume the worst and think locals must not like it. We are from Chicago and after our visit to Mall of America dropped in here for some food and drinks. To our surprise everything was AMAZING. The menu prices were much lower than I expected considering the trendy downtown location. The portions were plenty large enough for me (43 year old male 235lbs). The reviewer talking about small portions for the price, must not get out very much. We were pleasantly surprised. If ever in the area, I will go back.

Great restaurant i would go again to try more of their burgers. To start off i orderd 2 of the same cocktails but i do not remember the name which tells you it was good. I had The Mad pepper lucy with the Fried Cheese Curds. The Mad pepper was delicious, had a little kick to it because of the jalapenos and the blue cheese was a great addition. One note about the burger is that the i didn’t get any cheese oozing out of the burger. The cheese curds were great, i wished it had a dipping sauce and not hot sauce but the curds were able to survive on its own. The waffle fries, Delicious and crisp and the Golden BBQ Chicken Tenders which reminded me of the honey wings from Dallas BBQ was also delicious and crisp with a good coating.

The foot traffic was quiet at the time i got there but was good because service came quick. I recommend!

Update: I hadn’t gone back for a couple years until the other evening. The Groupon deal and the great location near the stone arch bridge drew me back…. However, I can’t change my rating as the service was still not the greatest and the food was so/so. The beer cheese was extremely over floured leaving a gritting feeling in my mouth, not the usual smooth beer cheese texture. The juicy Lucy was smaller than the bun, and although I subbed out more turkey for no ham on my sandwich, there was still only one slice thick of turkey. I wanted to re-like this place, but unfortunately I will not be back. The upside is, unlike other restaurants in the area, who are charging a 15 to 18% service fee to help offset costs with their employees, my opinion is that they have added it into the price of the food, which lets you know upfront how much your bill will be, which is great.

This has been a go to for the past few years… Unfortunately the service has never been something to write home about. I suggest that management teaches a hostess how to seat people coming in as a couple with none of our children in tow we probably don’t want to be seated in the area with a large group with many loud small children! Don’t get me wrong, we have 6 Of our own, but date night is for a reason and it isn’t to watch other people’s children run around screaming and jumping on couches!
The food here is typical pub type food. Nothing has even been super great that we leave and tell others about it though.
* sadly when you get a burger that should have avocado on it, 2 tiny slivers doesn’t really fit that description! I would expect that a1/4 of an avocado would be more like it!

Had a pretty good experience, came in before lunch the service was pretty quick. The atmosphere of the place was good the music they were playing was great. I ordered a Juicy Lucy burger and can’t say I was really overly impressed by this one. Pub cheese on a pretzel bun. I mean it was pretty good but was cooked very well done. It really wasn’t that big of a burger, especially for $15. The salad that came with it was refreshing and good. Other than that a pretty good experience, especially for a downtown bar.

UPDATE: The Lucy’s here are some of the best you’ll find. They have been voted the best in the Twin Cities. My favorite, the Beer Cheese Lucy, is a must for anyone looking to indulge in a burger oozing with cheese nestled into a warm pretzel bun. You can make it healthier with the amazing arugula side salad, and you won’t regret it a bit.

The service can sometimes vary based on the waitstaff, but overall, I have had positive experiences, especially with management.

ORIGINAL POST: Great burgers and decent entrees with normally good service. They also run some great deals, so you’ll find even more value if you snag one (sign up for their rewards). Don’t bother paying $3 for an upgrade to sweet potato fries. Their not as good as what you would find elsewhere.

We sat at the bar on a concert night. The place was packed. The staff was upfront and correct about wait times. Mark and Becky were a sight to see. They ran the bar like a well oiled machine. It was truly a joy to watch them dancing around each other pouring drinks. Not only were they impressive but they were both extremely personable and still made customers feel good. Well done!

The food was amazing! They had a nice selection of beers as well, I like the flight option so I can easily try more of them. The crab dip was phenomenal. I’m from Wisconsin and these are true Ellsworth cheese curds also. The seasonal salad was a strawberry salad with sliced almonds, spinach and feta cheese. It was to die for! Not to mention the stuffed burgers. Definitely gonna come back here next time I visit.
