Crooked Oak Tavern is a restaurant specializing in farm to table food. When available we will be using hormone-free beef, pork and chicken, locally raised produce that will change as is available during the growing seasons, and sustainable fish from local waters ( no farm raised fish). Our goal is to provide fresh local food that will not be full of hormones and pesticides. Recipes are a unique blend passed down through our family to you and given a bit of a modern twist. We want our guests to leave feeling like they had a home cooked meal mixing in New England, Pennsylvania Dutch, Maryland Seafood and Southern cooking.

While in downtown Conway exploring a potential move, someone suggested we stop at Crooked Tavern—and I’m so glad we did. The food was fantastic and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Everything was excellent. I tried the duck appetizer, flat iron steak and scalloped potatoes. My wife had the filet mignon and scalloped potatoes. Everything was seasoned perfectly. Also had the chocolate cake for dessert which was also fantastic. Looking forward to relocating to Conway and frequently visiting the Crooked Tavern! Highly recommend!!

We stopped in Conway for the festivities a few weeks ago. Looking into where to eat, Crooked Oak looked so good and did not disappoint. I chose a salad and the shrimp and grits. The salad was crisp, cold, and fresh. The ranch dressing was nice for this ranch-loving girl. This shrimp and grits is one of my top three I’ve tried so far in all sorts of different places; it’s one of my go-to’s. The shrimp were cooked just right, and the sauce paired with the grits is unique, delicious, and not something you would find anywhere else. For drinks, I had two different martinis: one was a coffee martini, and the other was a fruit martini; both were made well, not too strong and not too weak. They can accommodate children; my two enjoyed the mac and cheese and chicken. My partner had the pork chop, which was cooked just right and was really tasty as well. Another notable add-on was the French onion soup; they do a really good one here if you’re looking for something warm and cozy on a cold evening. Lastly, our waitress, Janie, was phenomenal and very kind. We never went without, and she went above and beyond for us while we were seated with her. I suggest asking for her when you visit, she’s just lovely.

I always enjoy myself when I’m at Crooked Oak. The food is tasty and the drinks are even better. If Tony, Luke, or Jeff are behind the bar, you can best bet that your drink is top tear. 10/10 would recommend!

We enjoyed their food, staff is friendly, but on my first visit my salad was brought without any dressing. They brought it and walked away, then I discovered only Blue cheese crumbles, I would have liked to have had the actual blue cheese dressing that I ordered. I did not see anyone for the next 10 minutes, I was hungry and ate my salad as is. Green beans were over cooked, but everything else was great.
Our next visit, I ordered balsamic vinaigrette for my salad, and I was brought a dressing that contained only oil in it, but I grabbed it and checked before they got away. It was brought to me quickly, and I had salad with dressing this time. Green beans were perfect this round, meat was cooked as ordered, yummy potatoes, and delicious dessert!

My husband and I celebrated his birthday at The Crooked Oak today. Our server, Riley, was attentive, knowledgeable, responsive, and friendly. He helped make our experience top notch.
The pear pomegranate salad and loaded fries were delicious for starters, and the main course, crab cakes, were fantastic, with lots of lump crab meat and just enough filler.
We enjoyed the ambience of the bar, a more intimate and cozy setting than the dining room. The big easy chairs and sofa were sooo comfortable. They would make for a perfect setting for leisurely drinks with friends.
We’re lucky enough to live close by, so we’ll be back. We recommend The Crooked Oak very highly on all counts; food, service, and atmosphere. Ask for Riley!

Great staff and great service. I originally called them with a total of 12 ppl reserved that number grew ton18 then 25. They never gave me any hassle each time I update the request they replied with a smile and seating. David my waiter deserved a paid Vacation and bonus as well as the assistance he had. This was my 3rd time visiting this location and they having disappointed me yet. Great prices great menu that you don’t have to drive all the way from Myrtle beach to get a variety of food. Being that I’m a conway native but I live 4 hours away it’s always refreshing to come home relax and break bread with my love ones. Thanks again to the entire staff and management.
Highly recommend 10/10 . My birthday dinner was great my wife birthday dinner last year was great and when we stopped by for lunch it was also great .

My fiance and I have been wanting to visit this place for years. We finally were able to make a reservation! As a neurodivergent person, finding a comfortable place for me to eat is not always easy, but I am adaptable. I specified in our reservation that we would like patio seating in a quiet place. When we arrived, the hostess tried to sit us down at a random table inside (in a very busy/loud area), and I was disappointed that our reservation instructions seemed to be ignored. It is a big comfort to me when people are able to acknowledge my needs as a person on the spectrum. The wait staff were kind and attentive, and the food was tasty. The mashed potatoes were my absolute favorite thing that I ate there. They have a lovely wine/spirits selection! Overall, we had a better evening when we hit the bar. We both enjoyed the visit, but we learned to temper our expectations. Next time we will most likely head straight to the bar and the comfy seating there. The atmosphere outside was gorgeous though! The tables are just very small and wobbly. I was also hoping that they would be clean since we but specific instructions for patio seating in our reservation, but unfortunately they were covered in pollen. We will be going back, just not with our expectations so high.
