We also ordered a trio of tacos: birria, shrimp, and ribeye. That ribeye taco was out of this world. The meat was so tender and flavorful that putting it on a taco almost felt criminal, in the best way. I just hope they never skimp on that quality of meat because it made the dish. The shrimp taco was cooked perfectly with great flavor, and the birria taco was impressive. I loved how they fried the cheese first before adding the meat. My only small complaint was that the dipping broth had a noticeable nutmeg note. It wasn’t bad, just not my personal taste in a Mexican-style dish.
And then came the bread pudding, easily some of the best I’ve ever had. There used to be a place around here years ago that might have competed, but they’re long gone, so Crooked Letter now holds the crown . The caramelized bourbon sauce formed this perfect crust, and I couldn’t stop eating it.
Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. My only wish is for better seating and a bar, because with food this good, you’ll want to hang around a while.

Yall!!!! PLEASE go try their Ribeye Taco!!!! It was so flavorful!!! My favorite component was the apple slaw that is garnished on top. It gave such a great flavor to this taco. Now I love me some Birria anything but I just didn’t care for theirs. It tasted like it was lacking seasoning on it. Now the look of it was great. Exactly how I would want mine to look. It just didn’t have the taste for me. The Boudin Eggrolls are simply amazing! I got my bread pudding to go. The staff swears by it, saying it is the best (and they don’t even care for bread pudding at all.) The vibe in the restaurant was magical. Such a great camaraderie. We are looking forward to coming back.
This go round was dine-in. All of the employees were very friendly and super helpful to explain menu items and current specials.
We ordered the bayou fries, boudin egg rolls and a variety of tacos.
Everything was great, but that ribeye taco?! Lawd!! Be careful ordering those, because you may end up dreaming about them. 10/10.
Looking forward to visiting again!
We received our food fairly quick and hot. The salad was nicely portioned. The only tenders they had were on the kids menu which I do wish they had the option as an adult plate option also.
The birria taco was pretty good without the broth that comes with it. The broth had a vinegar-like aftertaste. My son said the burger was good.
I will be returning soon and hope they’ll be adding a bit more to their menu. Definitely check them out if you haven’t already.
