Very interesting location! First visit makes me want to come back when it is nicer weather. More on that later…
The food this visit was The Hangry and a Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. This was a great lunch date with my beautiful lady 🙂 We split the burger and pizza so neither of us had to choose between the two. Try this out sometime! Its a great way to try multiple foods somewhere. We plan to return sometime to try more things for sure. Both choices were delicious! That crust of the pizza was amazing. The burger was not a smash burger but still really tasty. The sauce on it was sweet and tangy and would totally want on the side with almost anything.
Back to the venue itself. Our interest in the return trip during nice weather is based on what you see when eating here. Lots of garage style doors surrounding the place that could open to truly enjoy a lovely day. More seating options including outdoor would be available as well. So close to the amphitheater to enjoy some tunes while you eat.
The service is different. You order at the bar and then get it at the pick up counter or, in our visit, they bring it out. I think it could be a tad strange but with an open concept, im sure this place would be tough to keep track of your visitors roaming around.
TL:DR… The food is great! The location, during great weather, would be lovely to visit. I didnt try any of the alcohol but would love an old fashioned some time. You should totally check the place out!

What an awesome place! Lots of options on the menu! The southwest eggrolls, the cheese curds, and pizzas (we had a pickle one and a philly one) were both good! The highlight of the night was our “server” Ben! Ben was helping with refills, getting extra plates, cleaning up tables, etc. Dude was extremely courteous, helpful, and and all around awesome guy! Dude deserves a raise! Also, possible hands down the best church clap dancer I’ve ever witnessed…

This place has great food and even better beer. You cant beat a pepperoni pizza and pint of trinity haze. The staff are friendly and the place has a real family friendly feel to it. It’s definitely a recommended stop for great craft beer in Piqua.

My buddy Hunter received a french fry that smelled like fecal matter. Upon calling a worker over to inspect the fry, he admitted it did not smell like a normal fry and took it to the back. No refund was offered for him and no follow ups. No one else at the table got a fry that smelled like fecal matter so that’s a plus earning them one star. Peanut butter Porter was pretty good.

*** edit: the workers comped my friend’s meal and were very apologetic about it. Very funny. Turns out it was a rotten fry, but that doesn’t change my description.

Nice brewery and food spot. Good selection of beers to choose from. Unfortunately no flights. Lots of food options. Smoked wings were great, salads were avg. Atmosphere is great, a little loud, but there’s outside seating as well. Service was terrific, fast and polite. Clean private bathroom stalls.

My family tried this restaurant for the first time today. Claire was on duty and was extremely attentive, kind, and made really great drinks! The food was better than we anticipated. We tried the garlic parm cheese curds (10/10), the dill pickle pizza (9.5/10), the smoked wings with carolina sauce (9/10), and then got the chocolate Lasagna (9.2/10) and the lemon dessert (4/10). We are so impressed with this location, the atmosphere, quality of food and speed of service. We will definitely be making the drive to eat here again! Well done Crooked Handle Piqua!

Piqua is an up-and-coming town with a magnificent library, a walkable downtown, and a thriving riverfront. Part of the riverfront revival is thanks to Crooked Handle, which does many community and summertime events. The food here is above par and goes well above typical bar food. Everything I had is absolutely delicious. Kudos to Chef Eric! Wonderful beer selection with unique flavors to give you a break past the same ol’ beers. Wonderful place. Come here after work. Come here to treat yourself. Come here with friends or make new friends. Highly recommended.

Went here with a few friends and we all ordered food and drinks. Everything came out really well except for one of my friends got a fry that literally smelled like shit. I would not be surprised to find out that one of the chefs has genuinely put the one single fry up their butt. We attempted to call a worker over and were very clearly ignore multiple times. After calling over one of the workers and having him smell it he admitted it smelled bad and took it back to the back. No apologies or refund offered for the food.

Edit:
My fiancé mentioned the “stinky fry” to a worker when closing out and she came over to talk to us about it. She was very apologetic and had a great sense of humor about it. She offered a gift card in exchange for his meal (which he did not eat after taking a bite of the fry). Will definitely be coming back as it seems like this was a definitely a freak event and everyone else’s food was fantastic. If you come in, make sure you order the stink-free fries

Ordered the cheese curds to start, they are great. Fell apart when I got the Cuban and what I think was a chunk of wood? Was in it. Looked like a piece my husband would use in a smoker so idk if it was from that since I believe it was a smoked pork on the Cuban? Idk but never ordering anything with the pork again. The drinks are alright, a good variety. Pizza is really good, thinner crust. Service is different than other places. Seems more like when you go to Fazolis or something and you don’t have a waitress you just order at the counter and get your drinks there and then they bring the food to whatever table you say you’re sitting at and you get your own refills at the bar area. There’s a lot of indoor and outdoor seating and they seem to be very dog friendly. Good spot if you’re going down for a Lock 9 event HOWEVER you will be waiting in line 45 minutes to an hour for a drink if there is an event so better grab two

By far one of my husband and I’s favorite place to eat + drink GOOD beer!! The beer selection is vast and it’s always changing. They also have different varieties of ciders, seltzers, cocktails and even a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. The food is amazing and the menu is big + accommodating. It’s a great space right by the river and the new Lock 9 park. Highly recommend!
