We got there sometimes past 7pm, not realizing they close at 8 until the END of our meal. OOPS! However, the staff were incredibly friendly and patient the whole time from taking a minute to order all the way to enjoying our food and dessert. The food did not disappointed. Very nice portions for the price and tasty too!

Big variety of food I got the BLT with Avacado , was the smallest amount of bacon I ever got anywhere but I love veggies so it still tastes good the French fries were good the turkey had a very strong taste and was quite dry from the patriot sandwich so if your ordering that I’d add lettuce or tomatoes for texture . This diner is very clean even in the bathrooms are clean the service is good and I’ll definitely go back cause if I order extra bacon and tell them chewy I’m sure it would be even better . Was 40$ for two sandwiches and only one came with fries the BLT didn’t which was odd . oH and the pickles are coleslaw are good which is huge for diners ..also my husband asked for extra turkey and you can see some turkey is more brown than other and he got a stomach ache after. Might have been more old . I’ll update when we try again update we love this diver the tzatziki sauce is so good and the grilled chicken I can just get plain and eat it like that that’s how delicious and juicy it is the baked potatoes are awesome. The clubs are awesome.

My mom and I stopped in for lunch on Friday, pretty nice spot! My salad was huge and really good, my mom’s sandwich and fries were good too. The meatball special was ok, the meatballs themselves were kind of dense and tasteless. Might be time to upgrade the recipe or maybe we got a bad batch! Overall good and will be back!

Traveling north through Connecticut and Google maps sent me to Christy’s in Torrington. The diner is obviously adored by locals, and our waiter could not have been more charming. We were told the owners were Greek, so we ordered a Gyro and a Gyro platter. Food came fast and hot including delicious fries. We were in and out quickly as we needed to get back on the road. But highly recommend as an easy pull off of Route 8 and a fast delicious meal.

Lovely spot. It’s very homey and warming. The staff is friendly and attentive. Food was timely and was exactly what I wanted. Seems as though a lot of regulars come in and out and know one another which is nice. Probably new fave breakfast spot going forward

I order shrimp and bacon omelette which not on the menu and they was able to make it. The food was hot and very delicious. Home fries was soft the way I like it. My root beer had the kick in it. Overall I will come back and try something out

Stopped in here to grab a bacon, egg, & cheese sandwich on a hard roll while working in the area. It was a little pricy, but the sandwich was good and had some weight to it. It is worth the extra to get real food from a local restaurant vs a drive thru at a fast-food chain (restaurant). Besides that, higher prices are inevitable as the minimum wages skyrocket.

WARNING! OWNER WILL SHAME YOU & THROW YOU OUT IF YOUR CHILD BEHAVES LIKE A CHILD. This is the 3rd family the owner has thrown out due to a child being loud. News flash- this a diner, not a 5 star restaurant. Are you serious? Small children tend to be loud because they’re learning how to communicate. Never will I eat here again. If you are a family please check out GEORGE’S OR ANGIE’S IN TORRINGTON OR COUNTRYSIDE IN BURLINGTON, they won’t throw a family out. To the owner of Christy’s, do better & you’re definitely losing business.

When i lived in the area I would dine there regularly, and even after being out of state for almost 15 years still make it a point to have at least one meal at Christie’s when me and my family are in town. The food is consistently great & the people are the friendliest and most hospitable I’ve met – Christie’s feel like home ❤️
