Nashville Hot Chicken – A Must-Try!
Absolutely loved the food here! The Nashville hot chicken was crispy, juicy, and packed with just the right amount of heat. Every bite had that perfect balance of spice and flavor. The portions were generous, the service was quick, and the place had a nice, casual vibe — great for dine-in or takeout. Definitely worth trying if you love spicy, flavorful chicken!

First time visiting National Harbor and Crimson Coward. The chicken was delicious! Piping hot, and the flavor was outstanding. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I got the Crimson heat, which was very, VERY spicy so be careful if you get this heat level. The French fries were also very good. I didn’t care for the slice of bread that they give you with the tenders. It could have used some butter and herbs or something for flavor. The pickles were good – nothing fancy but helped mellow the spice out. Overall, the service was great, food was delicious, and it was clean and cool inside on this hot day.

GRAND OPENING
The first 400 people to show up to the grand opening received a free Crimson Chicken sandwich with a side of fries. So you know I braved the cold to be one of the first in line.
The hearty chicken sandwich was dressed with two pickles and a big scoop of coleslaw that complimented their signature rub. The heat level was mild on my sandwich, so the next time I go back I’m definitely going to try the medium level.
As I’m starting to become more conscious about what goes into my food, I love the fact that their chicken is halal focused and hormone free.

First time trying this restaurant on a very busy night. I’m a restaurateur myself so i naturally pay attention to the details, the kitchen was extremely clean especially with the amount of volume the team was producing. The food was excellent, hot and fried to perfection. The staff blew me away, professional, hard working and never stopped moving. As an owner myself I understand the challenges of finding good employees, but they have done it. I’m Thoroughly please, give this place a try.

SO DISAPPOINTED. I usually go to the Woodbridge and Springfield locations and those are great, but this one was so bad. What a ripoff.
I ordered the loaded mac and cheese, but there was literally NO CHEESE, just super dry pasta at the bottom. I spent 20 minutes staring at the TV screen waiting for my order to be ready. There you can see the mac & cheese they serve at their OTHER locations lol, not this one.
After we complained they put some disgusting yellow cheese on top that was chunky. On top of all that, they put maybe one chopped up chicken tender in the whole thing.
Other annoying things: gnats flying around inside, half the fountain drinks didn’t work, and the employee not changing his gloves when going from the cash register to the food stations.
Avoid this location at all costs.

As of August 17, 2025, this Crimson Coward location is closed with signs posted saying it’s due to a water breakdown. Unfortunately, my husband placed an online order and paid with his card, but when we arrived the doors were locked. If a restaurant is closed, the website really should be turned off or at least updated with a notice so people don’t spend money on an order they can’t pick up. Now we have to go through the hassle of getting a refund. Just a heads-up to anyone else planning to order here.

I went with a group of friends and they took an hour to make our food. They served burnt fried pickles, didn’t include fries for one of my friend’s orders and they completely forgot one of my other friend’s orders. They mess with the order system to make it seem like your order is ready when it isn’t. Don’t come here if you want a quick meal, they will not be accurate and they will laugh in your face if you call them out on it.

Bathrooms are filthy, look like they haven’t been cleaned in ages, puddles of body fluids on the floor.

I stop eating chicken about 8 months ago but one night I had an urge to try it again. I walked into the establishment and the person that greeted me was Tim. I shared with him how nervous I was and he was like “I’ll take care of you and cook your food “.. I’ve been there 3x since then and going back today lol.. this review is based off of my interaction with TIM, The other employees could use a customer service course from him and learn how to greet people in a more welcoming way. I love this place!!
