Loved being close to the lake
It’s a nice ambiance on the patio, but the inside looks like a horror movie. The outside surrounding minus the patio makes the place look dilapidated.
Food was OK. I ordered the fried chicken salad, and it was just enough to fill me up.
My husband’s burger looked a little different, and he only gave the burger 2 stars out of 5.
The French fries were crinkled, and nothing special.
The drinks are served in plastic cups.
Fair pricing.
Great service from the waitress on the night that we went.
Would go again, but know what not to try next time.

Stephanie the server was amazing 10/10 accommodating when the hostess completely forgot about us and sat a bunch of people that came after us without remembering we had been waiting. She was also very accommodating and nice when our burgers were so disgusting we couldn’t eat them. Their alcohol prices are great and they make good drinks. The burgers tho, are made of some weird meat that didn’t even look real. It tested very iron-like and had zero flavor otherwise. I ordered the frisco style, and it had maybe a pea size amount of sauce and almost no cheese. My mom got the same thing and she had the same experience. They have a rule that they can’t do any burgers less cooked than medium which makes me think the meat is frozen or something and it’s already brown from being low quality so they don’t even have meat pink enough to make medium rare. They were very nice and comped our food because of our dissatisfaction but they still need to get better ingredients so that’s where the 1 star comes from because unless you come here just to drink then you will be disappointed. Based on these comments on bad reviews I’m going to assume that my constructive criticism will only be met with a snarky small business excuse. Bottom line is that having a dirty restaurant with terrible management and gross food is not because it’s a small business it’s a lack of pride in your business.

3 Stars because the long island ice tea for $5 for delicious, but let’s talk about the food 2 pieces of hair on my plate ,I ordered grilled chicken breast sandwich,it was so tough I couldn’t eat it as a sandwich and I don’t think they believe in seasoning, the burger was not well done it was pinker than my lip gloss! Everything was bland, Chanel was too busy to even get our order and it was only like 4 people there! The atmosphere was amazing , and peaceful also pretty! It was a great day to be on the patio were you can view the lake! Nice place food sucks!

Right on the lake, with patio and inside seating. The food was good, but got great service. Staff saw I had a Notre Dame shirt on and switched the channel on the patio TV to the Notre Dame football game for me.
Plenty of choices in wraps, burgers and sandwiches. Kids menu available.
Diablo burger ws OK. Kids enjoyed chicken strips and Quesadilla.

This is my 4th visit to the Lakehouse. Each time, I’ve sat outside because I love people watching. I’ve had the cod fish sandwich with fries and slaw, the blt, the wedge salad, and the burger. All delicious! The servers are always awesome, and I love that dogs are welcome on the patio! Many show up with their owners from the trail. This is a great place to visit!

Walked around Mallard Lake then had lunch. They’re having struggles with staffing and supplies. Outside temperature was 43 degrees so the inside patio wasn’t open. I wanted the French Dip but they didn’t have the meat. Casey, our server, recommended the Mallard Club Sandwich so that’s what I ordered and it came with kettle chips. The sandwich was good and all the ingredients were fresh. They didn’t have Pepperjack cheese and they substituted wheat bread for sourdough. The big pluses for this place was our server and the view. When the weather gets nicer, I want to enjoy their indoor and outdoor patios. If you enjoy nature and the outdoors, you’ll enjoy this place on Creve Coeur Mill Road. Ample parking, we parked at the restaurant and walked the trail before having lunch. The trail passes right by the restaurant.

Joann has been truly an outstanding advocate for your relaxing, dining experience! We came last week with friends after biking and had a great experience. Joann is friendly and professional, and very attentive- not just to us – but we noticed her care to all those around. This week we were kayaking and came back for a late lunch. Despite your restaurant having a very busy time (congrats!), Joann remembered us – that we were biking- and that I asked for Stella 0. Once again, Joann’s friendliness and attention made this a special afternoon. Well done Joann.

There are few places in St. Louis where you can dine by the side of a lake — and this is one. Tucked off the beaten path just south of Creve Coeur Lake is Mallard Lake, and the Lakehouse’s patio offers a wonderful view and cool breezes. The food is good, with sandwiches, wraps and burgers.
