Older resturant but staff is great and very friendly. Burgers are great. If your a big eater, you will want the double burger. Fries and sweet tea are on point as well.

Food is better than it was two years ago. The atmosphere is great. They have a cook that is full of life and will make you laugh until you cry.

Stopped in for a great lunch. Burger and tots were fantastic. I ordered a milkshake and milkshake machine was down. I then ordered a chocolate cup of icecream. I was informed no chocolate. I finally ordered vanilla and it wasn’t nothing special. Would of given 5 stars but just didn’t feel after the ice cream that it was worthy

We try to stop in each time we are passing thru Carthage. It is an old school restaurant. Stuck in time in a good way. We enjoy it. We would go a lot more but they close at 5:00 and it is usually after that when we make it thru. Today, the weather got bad early so we left Geysers Falls early and made it there about 4:00. We got 5 milkshakes, a Sunday and a cup of ice cream! =)

Are you in the mood for some homestyle southern food? This place is for you. While there is not a huge selection, theres definitely something on this menu thatll make you remember home and childhood from the taste alone. Actual chicken with homestyle frying methods, crinkle cut fries, a burger or chicken sandwich and soft serve for all you need. The inside is a little dull these days due to the color palette but its a soft and cozy diner so the atmosphere is nice. It definitely needs more attention than it gets and while limited on parking due to its location, it has a drive thru and makes up for it with its short wait time and tasty food. If it got a remodel or something with more vibrant and welcoming colors itd be a 5 for sure but the interior design is a bit dated on colors and layout, to me. The bathroom area is in a bit of an awkward position but its still fine. A quiet place to eat peacefully that still remains after all the time it’s been there.

I called and ordered a grill chicken salad, I wasn’t given a time on when to pick up, I was just told “ok we’ll get it together” so I gave them 15 minutes. When I pulled up to the drive through and the girl said “the name”(with an attitude) and then gave me my total, which was $11.21 for me to get back to work and open the container and it was less than half full. Absolutely NOT worth $11.21 it was more like a side salad not a main dish. This is my second time being cheated from this place the first time I just ordered a burger (just the burger) no sides and they charged me 10 dollars and some change and the burger was like a junior size/ kids size burger. The only reason they got one star is because it’s the only I could write a review.
They should be ashamed of themselves for their prices in this small low income town

I was going to dine in at the restaurant. I stood there waiting on the lady to get my order but instead she kept talking to other customers about a card. One of the ladies from the kitchen came out and offered to take my order. At that point I no longer wanted anything from there because it seemed like I was being discriminating against. My family and I have went there several times even ordered cakes, but this was a bad experience and I won’t be going back there again.

The food was fine. The portions were kiddy meal sized in my opinion. The prices were also too high. The staff were not very friendly or helpful. I am amazed that it has stayed in business for so long. I am certain it would not with the current management.

I’ve been going to this place since I was a kid.
It’s got great food. They have wonderful (and are known for) chicken nuggets (grilled and battered.. By hand I think), they also have burgers and fish. Its a big menu and they have family meals for a big order.
Like all places it can be a wait, so calling ahead can be useful. The prices vary but I don’t believe you would regret eating from here.
The late Mrs. Mildred (I think I spelled her name right?) made the best pies ever and they still use the same recipes; so don’t miss out on those.
It’s just a great part of this town, and worth a try.
