Great dining experience… we arrived early for pre-dinner drinks at the bar; their take on old fashioned – high altitude – is very good. The sitting duck (margarita) and espresso martini also excellent.

We moved onto dinner; lovely dining room with a nice vibe. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We had the halibut and filet mignon, they were amazing! For desert we had the cookie which was great to share.

Prices are steep but we truly enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend for a special occasion or when you stay at the L’Auberge.

Cress on Oak Creek is pure Sedona magic — a dreamy, creekside setting with romantic vibes and polished service. The ambiance is the real star, with the sound of flowing water and twinkling lights making it feel instantly special when dining outside. The food is elegant and thoughtfully plated, though portions run small and prices are definitely on the higher end. Adding the wine pairing is phenomenal! Still, for a luxe, serene, and memorable dining experience, it’s one of Sedona’s most beautiful spots.

The Fall Foliage in November is my favorite time of the year to be on the creek, highly recommend a fall trip!

It is very overpriced. The food was terrible. I can’t really say much. We went there for breakfast. I had the crab Shashuka and well the pictures speaks for itself. The staff was great. The atmosphere was kinda like being in a library, the food terrible again, very overpriced. My wife had the avocado toast. It was very doughy and just really hard to cut through. Will not be coming back again.

Perfect spot right by the creek. We found out its a hotel but you can come in to eat at the restaurant. Parking is valet only for 17.00 bucks gratuity included. The food and drinks were on point. The service was exceptional. Once you eat you can roam around the property and enjoy the creek or just relax and take in all the views.

Me and my family had Thanksgiving
brunch and it was beyond terrible. Prior to booking reservations the details did not mention the reservation was made for buffet style dining only. The À la carte menu of higher quality food was only for inside dining. So if you wanted a pretty view of creekside dining you had to $150 a person for mediocre buffet food. The shellfish was low quality, and prime rib was gross. The charcuterie board spread was stale. Then we were charged an obscene amount for pressed juices of $15 each. The only tolerable food were the pastry desserts. And mediocre coffee. The restaurant staff was rude and pretentious. I’ve dined at this restaurant for years, and this was the worse experience ever. Now it’s overpriced and resting on their laurels. Crude waiters lack respect toward clients.

We had our anniversary dinner at the Cress. Had reserved a table by the creek which is amazing. Although we had a reservation at 7:30, weeks had to wait 15-20 mins to be seated at our table. We were served complimentary glasses of sparkling wine. Got the burrata and bread appetizer, split a medium rare ribeye, which had a bit of extra fat on it and the baby potatoes. I enjoyed the steak which was very flavorful but wife didn’t like it. We also had the pistachio crème brûlée. Service is slow but given the location and the view of the creeek who cares. Super friendly staff. Especially the gentleman that brings out the food.

Phenomenal experience! We had Easter Brunch here and it was a class act from start to finish. We walked down so we did not Valet. We were greeted with pleasantries by everyone we came into contact with. As we made our way through a crisp clean foyer, the creek’s edge was expose showing a brilliant set up of tables along the bank. We were shown to our table and it took my breath away to see how close we were to the water and just how beautiful it was. You heard soft music from a live band playing, the gentle water pouring over the rock beds within the creek and light conversation which was mostly people in awe of the majesty of where they were having brunch. Chris came and took our drink order and then we were off to the buffet. Such an elaborate display of waffles, fruits, berries, pastries, breads, meats, everything you could desire. Even a made to order omelet station. This place held nothing back. Their impeccable attention to detail came through and it expressed as people that love their job. This was easily our favorite Sedona experience.

We discovered Cress Restaurant by chance and were blown away by the exceptional experience. After a pleasant pre-dinner stroll along the creek watching ducks, we settled in for what would become a memorable evening.

Our server Tikaeni immediately impressed us with her knowledge and warm demeanor. She guided us to the five-course tasting menu with wine pairings, and the kitchen graciously accommodated my pescatarian preferences without missing a beat.

The food was outstanding – particularly the risotto and sea bass, which featured incredible flavors and beautiful presentation. We finished with a perfect flourless chocolate cake and cappuccino.
Having worked in hospitality for over a decade, I can confidently say that Tikaeni’s service was flawless – attentive, informed, and genuinely caring. She’s truly an asset to Cress and a key part of what makes their fine dining experience so special.

Beautiful restaurant and gorgeous views! We loved being able to sit by the creek. There was a lovely duet of guitar players that night and it added to the ambiance in such a beautiful way.

The only tiny little thing that I found disappointing was that we had ordered some sauces with our dinner, we decided on the tomahawk for two people, and what they gave us in the to-go ramekin was a very small fraction of what we hoped to take with us. Truly a small thing, but would have been nice to have the rest of the bearnaise and bordelaise (Especially when they’re charging you $9 each for it.)
Valley parking is also pretty expensive $17. (Plus any tip you can give to the folks running). Not worth docking a star of course, just something to be aware of if you do want all of your sauce to go. Lol

We’ll definitely be back. It was romantic and you can’t beat the view.

Mixed experience. Best roast chicken ever! Very good milk rolls. Spring primavera was very disappointing. No pasta – apparently they have not heard of gluten free pasta. Also poorly seasoned, very bland. At least they took it off the check. Service was Holiday Inn Express quality, alternately intrusive and inattentive. They offered to clear the rolls prematurely 3 times, then when we needed to be cleared, nowhere to be seen. Apparently no one manages the servers, like a maitre d’. If you’re going to charge top prices you need top service to match. Also the mandatory valet parking costs $17, which I’ve never seen before.
