The shop itself is clean, cozy, and welcoming, making it a nice spot to relax or grab dessert with family. Service was friendly and fast, even during busy hours.
If you’re in Shoreline and craving crepes or a sweet treat, this place is definitely worth stopping by. I’ll be coming back to try more of the menu!
Unfortunately, AI-Generated posters are hung up on the wall, which brings it down to 3 stars for me. No complaints with the food otherwise!
The dining area is bright and clean. There are cute little plastic plants on the tables. There is a long counter in the back where you can order and watch crepes being made. I ordered a turkey sandwich and a lime spark mocktail to eat there and a tres leches cake to go for later.
The bad news was that the tres leches cakes were “for next week.” I switched to a crepe. The counter guy told me it would be 10 minutes. That seemed like a long time to make a sandwich, but the rain was still coming down, so I had time. I also had the $43 that my meal cost, but just barely.
It turned out that the sandwich took closer to 20 minutes to make. While I was waiting, the acrid smell of burnt bread polluted the air. I wonder how many more crepes they would serve if they grilled sandwiches in the back so that people would only smell the sweet treats.
When the sandwich came to my table, it looked beautiful. It was served on a piece of slate, had perfect grill marks and decorated with a bit of green leaf. It was cut diagonally, as God intended. Such a cut makes for nice points to bite into. In this case, the easy bite was a disappointment. The turkey was the highly processed stuff you get at the supermarket to make tasteless sandwiches for kids. To add insult to injury, it was cold. Not at all what I expected from a grilled sandwich. There was some cheese in there, but it was also flavorless. Bummer.
My mocktail was the opposite. It looked plain in a clear plastic cup but it tasted delicious. A larger glass cup would have been nice.
It took me much less time to eat my food than it took to prepare it. I took my piece of slate and plastic cup to the plastic bussing bins and grabbed my crepe. I’m saving it for later, so I can’t say much now.
