The Crepevine was built and created by our family to be a gathering place for families, friends, professionals and students. In our menu, you will always find something exciting to eat; and certainly, our youngest guests will never be disappointed. At the Crepevine we take great pride in providing the freshest, healthiest, ingredients we can buy, such as organic, fair-trade coffee, ocean raised Canadian salmon, and 100% natural beef that has never been given any antibiotics or hormones. Most of our fruits and vegetables are purchased from local farmers and growers. We use 100% Grade A pure maple syrup. All of our dressings and sauces are made from scratch in our own kitchen, including our pancake mix.

The restaurant is in a great location, clean and has all the vibes. Love they also have outdoor seating.

The menu offers many choices and they have specials.

The service is meh. Not friendly or helpful. Kinda felt rushed a bit as you order at the cash register and not the table. Yet there was not a line so… why?

The food was ok. We have been twice now and felt the same each time.

We ordered two specials. The squash soup, served medium warm, and the shakshuka. My husband said the shakshuka was way too sour and the tomatoes were not fresh. I also ordered a chai latte, extra hot, which also came out medium warm.

Perhaps we just order the wrong things

Squash soup $6.95 ( great portion, but came spilled)
Shakshuka $17.95

Cozy atmosphere. Great portion size and very flavorful. I got the eggs Benedict with crab cakes and it was so delicious and they brought it out very quickly. The service is quick! I finished my entire plate. I recommend the eggs Benedict and the savory crepes are also so yummy :))

TLDR – Spacious spot with quick service and great breakfast/ lunch options. Fit for large or smaller sizer parties.

Love the house potatoes – nicely seasoned and flavored. The crepe is savory and yummy but I will warn that it might get soggy because of the juices from the spinach and capers. I also got a side of the fresh squeezed OJ – perfect weekend brunch spot.

The food is always delicious with generous portions. The service isn’t so good. The food is delivered and rarely do they ever check back. Several times when sitting outside I’ve had to go in and ask for drink refills and my check.

Crepevine has a cozy, inviting vibe and a menu packed with variety—crepes, pastas, salads, and more. The food is solid and satisfying, with generous portions and fresh ingredients. I’ve tried both savory and sweet options, and everything has been consistently good.

That said, nothing really stands out as exceptional. It’s tasty, but not memorable. For the price point—often $18–25 per plate once you factor in tax and tip—it feels like you’re paying a bit more than the experience delivers. The ingredients are fresh, but the flavors are pretty straightforward, and the presentation doesn’t quite justify the upscale casual price.

Still, the service is friendly, and it’s a great spot if you’re in the mood for variety or need something crowd-pleasing. Just manage expectations—it’s more of a convenient comfort food spot than a culinary standout.

The best Benedict and breakfast potatoes I’ve EVER had. So delicious. I got the black stone Benedict and added bacon. Seasonal biscoff late was also perfect, great flavor not too sweet so you can make it as sweet as you’d like.

Whatever you do, don’t order the tuna melt, it was awful. It was supposed to be white albacore tuna but that’s not possible. It was served open face with a very low grade of cheddar cheese. I was able to eat half with the mixed green salad. My wife had the fettuccine with spinach and salmon. The salmon was not edible. It was overcooked and dry. The service was good and it may be that some of the other items are good. I will never go there again. Buyer beware.

My wife and I love coming to Crepevine on Shattuck and Cedar Streets in Berkeley for lunch, whether by ourselves or with a group of friends or coworkers. The enormous menu has something for everyone, whether you are looking for a healthy salad, a savory burger, a decadent dessert crepe, or a stack of pancakes. But let’s be honest, there are tons of great places to eat in Berkeley. What makes this Crepevine location so special is the wonderful staff, especially Cielo, Maria, and Arati, who create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you are lucky enough to be served by one of them, they will be friendly and kind, and they will take great care of you from the moment you enter until you leave.

Crepes are great but espresso coffee was a real disappointment. 2 attempts but too milky with no crema or foam.

Overall great experience! Weekday mornings aren’t very crowded and it’s cozy and peaceful. I ordered a savory San Francisco crepe and one of their house special lattes, and a small muffin was included as well. The portions were very generous. I struggled to move for a while afterwards. However, the spinach to smoked salmon ratio inside was very high – there was a TON of spinach.
