I highly recommend trying Crêpes de Luxe Café. I have had a number of items on the menu and I’ve enjoyed every last one! They are made fresh to order and the homemade pesto is exquisite! So is the homemade whipped cream! It’s such a cute cozy atmosphere. All of the staff are so nice, friendly, and helpful! One of the best places in Iowa City! 10/10 every visit!

Tried this place for quick dessert before heading to the Englert theater for a concert which is close by. We tried the Valentine & Paris Crepes, which were fantastic. Definitely will come back and try their savory items next time.

Amazing food. The crepe we ordered was L’ocean and Lyon. Both are just fantastic. The coffeee seems a bit pricey. But the taste and quantity was really worth it. I loved this place and probably will go back again.

Went here for the first time after dinner. The place is very warm and welcoming! The crepe was delicious and someone came to check in on us to make sure everything was good as well! I had the monkey treat and will definitely come back to try their other crepes!

My daughter and I happened upon this lovely cafe by chance and were so impressed. It’s a French Moroccan inspired restaurant with a lot of charm! The ambience was perfect and the owner(?) was the sweetest! I wish I had gotten her name. They have sweet and savory options and were perfectly willing to adjust the ingredients for my daughter’s picky palette. The crêpes were the best I’ve ever had, even in France honestly. It’s clear they take pride in their business. My daughter ate all of hers and she is so picky it was great to see her try something new! We will certainly return for another mother daughter dinner!

My companion and I had a lovely lunch at Crêpes De Luxe located at 309 E College St #1, in Iowa City, Iowa
The place itself is small, informal, and easy to walk past. But well worth seeking out!
Seat yourself, then approach the counter to order a delicious crêpe, either sweet or savory. Or get one of each just to be on the safe side
The dishes are created in a tiny, completely open kitchen and are satisfying and delectable!
I had the Lyon; spinach, cheddar, ham, or bacon (I chose ham), aioli, and drizzled with housemade pesto.
The crêpe itself is worthy of the trip. Good crêpes aren’t that easy to find, and these are wonderful.
The taste and texture are fantastic, not rubbery, not too chewy, not overpowered with added flavors, just that tasty, magical combination of eggs, flour, and milk that is simple perfection.
The ham was thinly sliced and of fine quality, but it didn’t taste particularly special. The cheddar was of just the right taste and quantity, and the aioli quite mild. It was the spinach that caught my attention as I felt it was cooked to just the right degree, not mushy but still soft, and retaining that green, bright flavor that vegetable lovers so enjoy.
My companion chose the Roma; feta cheese, dried cranberries, mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, diced & marinated chicken breast, also drizzled with housemade pesto sauce.
Wow! The flavors were powerful and layered, with the feta, tomatoes, and spinach all combining very well with dried cranberries. This is not a flavor combination I, myself, would have put together, but the flavor profile was complex and wonderful.
The mozzarella provided melty, cheesy goodness, and the chicken added just the right amount of body to the dish.
This is one of those restaurants that almost demands a return visit, or two… or three!
There is a salmon based crêpe, L’Ocean that needs tasting, as well as breakfast offerings, and you know how I feel about breakfast
Looking for something different? Craving a new taste? Try one of the many delish crêpe dishes at Crêpes De Luxe, and let me know what you think!

A friend suggested this place because they have gluten-free crepes. We had to go! The gentleman who greeted us right away made us feel at ease and he directed us to a table while we looked over the menues. I ordered jasmine tea, which came in a beautiful little cup and pitcher. We decided to split two crepes, the Ratatouille and the L’Ocean (smoked salmon). Both looked amazing and tasted even better! Flavor, texture, and presentation were a “10”! Sadly, we didn’t save room for a dessert crepe, which we decided we’d have to come back for again. If the GF crepes were that delicious, I’d wager their regular crepes are outstanding. Definitely check this cute place out!

I’ve known about this place since I was in college years ago, and it never disappoints! The family that owns this cafe is so kind and so intentional in the crepes they serve. These are just as good as what you’d find in France – at times even BETTER. Every time I am in town this is at the top of my list to stop by and dine!
