Adrien Hello
I went here for my birthday dinner and it was a great meal. The prices were very affordable, and the food was great for the price. The mussels were the highlight of the meal for me. I really liked the sauce I got with them (I believe I chose the first option on the menu). The only negative I had regarding the food was that the vegetables were undercooked across the board with my steak au poivre, but the fries that came with it more than made up for that fact. I don’t remember the waitresses’ name, but she was amazing. She was actually able to understand me when I said the names of the dishes correctly (I’m French), and she had a great french accent when speaking to me in french!

Excellent dinner. This was our final night in Asheville and dinner was amazing. Steak Bouchon was extremely flavorful and the steak au poivre was probably the best I have had. Temperatures were perfect. We also shared a pate appetizer- there were two pates for us to try, cornichons, and toasted bread. Great service too! Exactly how a fantastic French restaurant should be.

Truly some of the best French food I’ve had outside of France! I feel like good French food is hard to come by down south. Every single thing we had from the wine to the dessert was amazing. The highlight of the meal was probably the escargot which was incredible!!! Our waitress was so sweet and had great recommendations. My friend and I sat upstairs and the ambiance was lovely. This was for sure a 10/10 experience and next time we are in Asheville we will come back!

A cold and rainy Spring night but a lucky one for us as we finally managed to dine at Bouchon and without a reservation! Place is dim (very French!) but super breezy with aircon and fans (very in French!). Food is great from shareable salads to mains through to desserts. A tad disappointed not to have daily specials on chalkboard like they do in France. But great frites and medium rare steaks cooked perfectly (hard to find in the US)! We will be back!

We wanted an eclectic dining experience for our last night of vacation. Bouchon is in a trendy area, very hip. First off, we made reservations for outside seating, which turns out to be a covered alley. Because they close at 930 and our reservations were for 830, they started bringing out the garbage right by our table during dinner. We had the pate duo to start- very good. My sister enjoyed her French onion soup. She ordered Steak a Poivre- peppercorn steak. The sauce, typically thick and savory, was thin, bland, with very little peppercorn flavor. I ordered mussels Parisienne, garlic, butter, white wine. While the mussels themselves were great, the broth was the color of dirty dishwater and had zero taste. I NEVER send things back, but this time I did. Instead I ordered the mussels with tomato sauce. These were much better. Our server, Justin, also brought us mussels cooked in PBR and whole grain mustard, which my sister really enjoyed. Justin, our server, went above and beyond and truly was wonderful.

In conclusion, food was hit or miss, you may prefer to sit inside, but ask for Justin as your server!

Based on Google research we decided to try this restaurant. We just came back from a day on the French Broad River whitewater rafting, and were quite hungry, and wanting something more casual, homie and comfortable at the same time.

This hit all the check boxes. The food was great, we had an interesting drink that you don’t find at other places that was also marvelous, there was plenty of food we could not finish it all and we wanted to because it was so good.

We had a French onion soup and it was spectacular. Probably one of the best we’ve had. We have a lot of French onion soups it is one of our favorite items.

We also had an appetizer of Rracelet cheese fondue. It was so good I had to scrape the last bits out with a spoon. I hope I do not need a laxative in the morning with all the cheese I have eaten.

I had all you can eat Parisian muscles and I did not need a second serving. They were delicious, plump and there was more than I could eat.

We also had a creme brulee for dessert. A creme brulee is probably my all-time favorite dessert and I consider myself an expert on creme brulee. There are many factors that make a great creme brulee including the proper thickness of the melted sugar on top, the flavor of the cream and most importantly the texture of the cream which has to be exactly right. This creme brulee was perfect I wish I had more room in my stomach for a second or third of these.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Bouchon. We had been trying to eat here for years but never could work it out as they used to not take reservations. Now that they do, we were finally able to enjoy delicious classic French fare in a very nice atmosphere. We were not disappointed in the least and will be back!

Chosen for our wedding anniversary. It did not disappoint. We kept our choices simple, starting with the mussels for an appetizer. She ordered the lamb chops and I ordered the duck for entree’s. Service was on point. The first floor was lively providing a nice vibe and view of kitchen activities. I started with a beer and moved on to the bourbon cocktail, Soleil Amer, which was perfect. Nice wine selections as well. I would love to be a regular.

Absolutely fantastic french food. We started with the french onion soup and house bread. Bread comes with plenty of butter and is lovely. French onion was flavorful and a great warm up to dinner. Bread plays double duty here helping sop up the onion. Chicken cordon bleu was immaculate, probably one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Similarly the pork tenderloin was sublime, sauces for both highlighted the well seasoned meat to perfection. Reservations recommended. Portions are a good side which i always worry about with French places, but Buchon has it figured out! French fries are also delightful

So good!!!! Every bite seemed to make you sit back and sigh in contentment! We ordered the escargot, cheese fondue, baguette with garlic confit, and the lobster stuffed ravioli. The ravioli was so good, we ordered a second portion! Then we had the banana dessert. It was all amazing! The only thing I would have preferred would have been if the bread would have been toasted. Our server was super helpful and friendly, he helped us pick out wine to go with our meal, and he was helpful and quick with service. It was an amazing date night. And the ambiance hits as soon as you open the door, it smells SO good inside! I wish I lived closer because I would absolutely go again!
