Overall would rate this place a 6/10. Firstly when we arrived they don’t have a hostess so you’re left to fend for yourself to find out where to check in. Next, once I did get greeted by a server, we were seated in the front by the door where it was freezing. I let him know I had reservations and that didn’t change the seating location. Once the large party left from the back of restaurant we should have been asked if we wanted to move being as though we let them know we weren’t really comfortable there. Also, the charge to make a reservation is absurd. It’s def not necessary in my opinion.

Next, we put in an order for the shrimp and crab dip as an appetizer. Needless to say the server forgot to put it in and kept telling us it’ll be out shortly. 40 mins later just getting the appetizer. The food was decent after a little salt and pepper. My gumbo was missing the sausage so the server had to bring me a side of sausage to add to my gumbo.

The best thing about this place is definitely the music. The 90s/2000s music is such a vibe.

The food was amazing. I ordered the wings. Fried and sauced to perfection . For dinner I ordered the bourbon salmon grits with shrimp. This had to be some of the best Salmon ever. They gave us complimentary shots. The vibe was like no other.. Great Job. I will be returning with my appetite. 10 out 10.

Brand new, woman owned restaurant on Broadway. The atmosphere is clean and neat with a chic design. I thoroughly enjoyed how they played the best damn 90s/2000s era R&B for ambiance. The food was incredibly flavorful and tasty. Beautifully plated in an artistic fashion and still delicious. I got the Jambalaya with chicken and turkey andouille sausage on top of dirty rice. I had to stop from finishing it because we intended to get dessert. We split EVERY dessert because we couldnt decide. The beignets are damn near perfect. They also have sweet potato cornbread, bread pudding, banana pudding, and peach cobbler. The owner is a gorgeous lady and she came out to say hi from time to time. Definitely check this place out. It’s a gem.

This place is amazing. The servers were friendly and helpful. The drink menu is diverse. The food was fresh and well-seasoned. I loved my catfish and grits and my mom loved her steak and wild rice, and we finished with their amazing red velvet cornbread. We couldn’t stop complimenting them. I highly recommend this family-run spot!!!

My friend and I visited this restaurant on 11/21 around 6pm. The establishment wasn’t that crowded only two other patrons at that time. My friend and I order the fried fish and dirty rice, the friend green tomatoes, & the seafood platter. Everything came out in a timely manner and was delicious, our only problem was the lobster tasted and smelled like ammonia. The manager was extremely understanding and accommodating about our issue, which we were so thankful for. We’ll most definitely be back.

Alright cousins, Doc stepped into Creole Soul and let us just say the soul was still in the warming drawer.

Reservation stayed pending so the welcome energy was a little cold and uninviting at first. The aesthetic is nice, very grown, very modern, very much like everywhere else today. The crowd was mixed and eclectic. I would suggest they broaden the music and community presence to build a stronger vibe.

Service started off a little confusing, but our waitress was beautifully kind and she carried that dining room with grace. I would come back for her alone. In fairness, it looked like they were working with two and a half people total, so the wait for everything was long. Could have just been an understaffed day.

Now the drinks. We started with the CSR Watermelon Rita and the Big Easy Lemonade. They were well rounded. I did need a shot in mine to wake it up, and I am not even a drinker. But once adjusted, it did what I came for.

Food time:
The hot honey Old Bay wings had layers, a sauce that was richer than expected in a good way. The shrimp and grits did what shrimp and grits needed to do. No complaints there. But the two fried wings and sweet potato waffle? That was the surprise highlight. Sweet, savory, crispy, warm. I did not know I needed that combination until I tasted it.

Flavors overall were layered and thoughtful. Nothing overwhelming, just intentional. Someone in that kitchen knows what they are doing.

All in all, we are giving grace. The location is only four months open and the foundation is still forming. I want to see them win because this is a black owned franchise.

We giving a respectful 7 out of 10 with room to grow.
I will return to see how they level up. ️✊

We went because I just NEEDED some good oysters. I wasn’t disappointed! We had the Crab Stuffed Oysters Rockefeller. They were creamy and delicious! Next time I’m in the DMV, this will be a must! Our server, Ruth, was very pleasant. Clean restaurant. Nice atmosphere.

I came here for lunch after my graduation and it was amazing! Authentic creole food with generous servings, extremely tasty drinks, kind waitstaff, and a great modern vibe. I had the seafood gumbo and it was fantastic. Everyone in my group raved about it. The only difficult thing was trying to pick what to order! Will definitely be back.

My husband and I visited for a date night, and the experience was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The staff made us feel genuinely valued throughout the evening.

The food was outstanding, rich in flavor, beautifully prepared, and served in generous portions. Every dish exceeded our expectations.

Our first visit was so impressive that we returned just two days later, and I’m happy to say the experience was just as remarkable the second time.

This restaurant is truly a gem in the city and an absolute must-visit.
