Nice plate lunch spot! Can get busy around noon so come at a decent time. Plate lunches range from $10-15

I ordered the Boom-Boom Chicken Wing Combo; comes with fries and a can drink.

Food is overrated. Had more meat than okra. The chicken in the okra was not fully cooked. Gravy and rice was bland (had turkey wing). Mac n cheese was from a box they just doctored it with cheese.

A Creole drive-through and window-order joint that offers down-home cooking that’ll fill you up as if your mom was making dinner. Try the sweet peas! Even the mac-and-cheese has a unique kick.

Smothered steak was good, but the green beans were exactly what I needed. The rice—which I hate rice—was amazing with the juices in it.

Next time I’m in Louisiana, I’m going to come through here on my to a job.

My first time eating here. The service was nice and courteous. The young lady even helped me set up a Zelle payment for her. The food was 11 out of 10. I will be back fo sho!

Can anyone in this town make a homemade rice dressing? Rice mixed with store bought dressing mix ain’t it. Every place I’ve gotten rice dressing from in this town serves the same thing. Can’t tell the difference from any of them. And baked beans should be baked! Not a can of pork and beans with a little molasses heated stove top. Potato salad was okay. Chicken leg quarter grilled on real charcoal. But I’ve seen bigger leg quarters on a sparrow! And the sausage link was the cheapest sausage I’ve eaten. I’d rather pay more for quality food than pay less for a cheap, unappetizing product.
