Creole Kings was birthed from a place of love, servitude, and legacy. Owners Jeremiah and Sashay Kingdom had one vision in mind, and that was to be excellent stewards of what God has given. When they met 11 years ago one of the To-do things on there list was to open there own restaurant. Fast forward today, life has come full circle, and the lord has given Creole Kings as a means to not only provide flavorful food made with love, but to bring the love of God to all those they encounter. “Let The Good Times Roll”

We were pleasantly surprised to find Creole Kings at the Thousand Oaks mall. We’ve been to the Topanga location several times and have always left impressed, so when we saw the new spot, we had to give it a try. I ordered some fried okra while my wife and daughter went to Hot Dog on a Stick. Before long, they were both reaching over for my okra, and it quickly disappeared. That pretty much says it all.
The food here is consistently excellent. Everything we’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they make, from the crispy sides to the rich, soulful main dishes.
The service has always stood out, too. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely proud of the food they serve. They make you feel welcome from the moment you walk up. It’s great to see Creole Kings expanding, and this Thousand Oaks location delivers the same quality and hospitality that made us fans in the first place.

Creole Kings is underwhelming for what I wanted it to be; but what they are, they execute decently.
When I see “Creole,” I expect gumbo, jambalaya, red beans, etouffe. This restaurant only serves fried foods: chicken, shrimp, and catfish with fries. Or, you can have the fried food put on bread to make it a Po Boy. And it was a decent Po Boy, the bread even tasted reasonably authentic to New Orleans.
Other than that, the experience was unremarkable. One employee, no fountain drinks, no napkins, pretty bare bones. And, this might be a me thing, but I didn’t appreciate being guilted into signing two petitions before ordering. I get it, democracy has to happen in communities. But I’m just trying to eat some catfish.

Service was not up to par. Lady working at the front had a weird vibe and energy. She had an attitude and rude demeanor, she seemed mad about something. Food was decent but we found a hair in the fries. Just nasty. Won’t be coming back.

Two super cool dudes running this place! They make everything and I mean everything from scratch right down to the bread for their sandwiches! Never had creole food again and never would’ve thought the food court at the oaks mall would have a place with THEE best food I’ve had in a long time! I got the lemon beignet, the okra (first time trying that and is was bomb) and also the chicken andouille sandwich. The sauces, the honey, the pickles the bread! Literally everything was so incredibly delicious! They’re gonna be big!!

My favorite place of all time. The people working there are so very respectful and fun. The portions are so large and it’s made with love and soul as it should be. My wife and I, this is our go to. They give a good American service. Soul food, with a big portion for a good price making sure I’m not going home hungry. Thank you guys. God bless.

Honestly some of the best shrimp I’ve had in my life. Perfect friend crunchiness, tastes marinated and sooooo amazing. I get extra seasoning on my fries and they’re always delicious. I crave them like crazy
