The best chicken and pork I’ve ever had in Anderson, amazing flavor, the chicken seemed to be cooked with smoked wood which makes you imagine you’re at a campsite. Also the sweet potato puree was fresh out of the oven and warm. The chicken was big so you can take what’s left home and taste this exquisite flavor again. The atmosphere is like being in a cabin at night with dim candle lights. Its flavor surpassed everything I’ve tried before so I recommend it 200%! It really deserves it.

The restaurant is very dark. The table was sticky and the walls dirty. The host was very effective and polite. The value for the food is very poor compared to surrounding restaurants and the meat was not cooked well. It was very chewy and very fatty. If the sauce is homemade it is done very well and the tea was good as well. I got 3 ribs for $18.00 total with tea and fries compared to surrounding restaurants 18-20 dollars is a full rack.

This place was highly recommended while I’m in town for work in Anderson. This was a total let down. I ordered a BBQ sandwich plate with Mac and cheese, baked beans, and Cole slaw. I sent the Cole slaw back because it was too sweet for my liking. I got fried okra. All the food was just a disappointment. Burnt okra, extremely dry and chewy BBQ. Then I ordered the banana pudding. It was disgusting! No other words to describe it. It was prepared to order crunchy cookies, banana slices mixed in the gray color instant pudding.the pudding wasn’t fully mixed it had dry powder pieces. To my dismay I was charged 3.25 percent to swipe my debit card. I didn’t ask for a manager. I just felt like it would fluster the server. They were kind. But never once asked how the food was. The host did ask , I was honest . They simply apologized and went back to work. I was hoping a manager would do table touches but no. 23 dollars down the drain .

We spent $60 on supper here and most of it went in the trash. Brisket was a grey mystery meat. Mustard sauce tasted like vinegar and spices and was runny. Sweet potatoes tasted like canned yams. Chicken was extremely dry. Marked off the list of places to eat in Anderson.

Overall don’t recommend. The food flavor is OK at best, salty, and does not taste fresh. The waitstaff was really friendly but the manager was a real piece of work. I overheard her yelling at an employee and it really made me sick to my stomach. The atmosphere was nice until I saw a roach in the bathroom, and a dead roach on my way out the front door.

Worse BBQ and Ribs I have ever ate. We order the 4 meat plate to split between 3 people. We did not eat but a fork or 2 of the BBQ. We could not even eat the ribs. Not sure what type of rib was served but they were so tough we could not eat them. The sides we ok. Fries (can’t mess up) Brunswick stew (was ok but seems like they ran it through a blender before serving) macaroni and cheese was ok at best. My son got the Pork Sandwich basket with fries and a side of macaroni and cheese he took one bite of his sandwich and side it was nasty. He ate his fries. The lady serving us was great but the food was horrible. Worse $75 I have spent on food. I did leave a $15 tip because he service was good. Oh I forgot the fried pickles were good.

They seriously need to add a zero star option. This place is terrible. The food is bad but the people are worst, especially that manager “Tandy”. She is rude to paying customers and the stories about how she treats her staff is horrifying. Drive to Pendleton its worth the drive. She does not deserve the business. The place went down hill after her husband died. Apparently he was the only one with morals and values. Anderson needs better.
