Blackeyes had no taste.
Dressing had a strong taste to it that I’m ensure exactly what it was but I wasn’t a fan.
I would definitely go back for a pork chop sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo.
(These are ALL my PERSONAL opinions)
Also, I wasn’t a fan of the cake. It didn’t taste fresh at all.
The collard greens were good; I’d give them about a 7.5/10. They had a great texture but could’ve used just a little more seasoning. The baked chicken was tender but a little on the bland side; nothing a sprinkle of seasoning salt and a little hot sauce from my own kitchen couldn’t fix! Once I added that, it was absolutely delicious. I also really appreciated that they cook some of their veggies with turkey instead of pork. That’s a big plus in my book! It shows they care about customers who prefer a lighter or pork-free option. Overall, it was a really good experience ..warm atmosphere, friendly people, and food made with love. We’ll definitely be back again and will be recommending this spot to family and friends!

Amazing ! There are a few other places in town that my husband and I frequent for a Sunday dinner when we just do not want to cook. This place tops them all
Oxtails succulent no hot sauce needed and my husband usually drowns his meat from
Other places in hot sauce squash seasoned to perfection . Turkey wing perfectly seasoned no hot sauce needed. Greens taste like grandma made them not bitter not salty just perfect. Mac and cheese so flavorful. Field peas tastefully seasoned. Generous portions left there full sleepy and happy.
If you have not been just go. Support this wonderful small business. We drove in from Perry and so glad we did. This will now be our only home cooking stop from now on.
What I loved best there was no wait all the food was there in front of you tell them what you want and within 5 minutes we were eating. Hot fresh and delicious.
Everyone was just so humble and made you feel like you been coming there for years. Very comfortable dine in seating.
They also sell breakfast will try to get there another weekend day for that
We paid about $40 for two plates of course if you buy oxtails you pay a premium so they were around $24 and the turkey came with rice with 2 sides and bread $14 . Oxtail also came with rice and two sides and bread.
Just go good eats in War town. Can’t beat a home cooked meal. Let’s keep this place in business folks.First visit today wonderful customer service. Friendly and courteous staff from the entry to the departure. One million stars if I could give more than 5.
The chicken was seasoned but it was cold, yams were sweet but still kinda bitter, greens were bitter, macaroni was ok! I didn’t eat all of it. Kinda wasted my $20, I would go back for the chicken only if it’s hot and a cup of lemonade. I also think the presentation of the food didn’t look really inviting like I wanted the cake because I saw it on the menu but once I saw the slices in the restaurant I decided not to order based on presentation.
