This place is great! A husband and wife run the place. Im so glad my wife and I stopped in there. The food was made in house and straight up delicious. The service was next level. I had never been there, but you wouldn’t have thought that. Guy behind the counter, Eddie aka Eric was a cool dude. Treated me like a regular and I felt super welcomed. Im genuinely bummed I cant actually be a regular. Check this place out. I wish I had tried more things. For real, check it out.

Excellent Weekend Sushi Spot in San Andreas!
We recently tried the weekend sushi at this restaurant, and it was a fantastic surprise. It’s such a cool and unique option for the San Andreas area.
The sushi was excellent. The Volcano Roll was incredibly good with a beautiful presentation, though it was spicy—just on the edge of what I could handle! If you’re sensitive to heat, be sure to ask about the spice level.
I was also impressed with the other dishes. The California Roll I ordered for my 7-year-old was a full, traditional-sized roll, not a small one, so I happily finished what she couldn’t. The chicken teriyaki was a perfect, safe option for kids who aren’t into sushi. We both absolutely loved the edamame that came out first; she even had to ration it with me!
The space they’ve created next to the Panini restaurant is adorable and well-decorated with a fun sushi theme. The staff were so friendly and gracious. We were the only diners there that evening, which was a shame. This local spot serves great food, and the owner is known for supporting the community with fire prevention programs. They definitely deserve more customers! Go give them your support.

Fantastic food, mom and pop shop with owners who have a great sense of humor, creative options, and award winning bbq. I received a couple of treats on the house and my food was ridiculously good. Definitely going to be stopping by every time I’m in town!

This place has incredible food! Owner is super friendly and has great energy! He knew everyone walking through his doors and greeted them like family. His female cook makes award winning fudge and truffles. We were talking about what I ordered, and he warned me about the spicyness but I told him hotter was better…..but it concerned him, so he brought out his sauces for me to taste! We ended up chatting quite a bit. You won’t be disappointed here. Prices rival nearby restaurants, but they don’t skimp here!

Always a good eatin’! Casual atmosphere, and can always guarantee a smile and great conversation with Eric and Bettina.
Gotta try out whatever new idea is out, like spicy ranch or smoked salt and chocolate chip cookies.
Support local. Support small. Support Calaveras and those that love our community.
