This Should be a 5 star restaurant. The food was amazing. We had the best service ever. If you go there be prepared to be amazed. Ask for Dustin. He made us feel very comfortable. He was great to our family. I will return just because of the service the fun and the food. It’s an experience. I take my hat off to the chef and owner of the business. For putting together a master piece.

What a great place for food and wonderful service! We ate outside and it was nice with a big fan and breeze. Katherine was an amazing server. When we asked her for suggestions, one of the items was the trout medallions. Wowza! I’ve not had seafood this good in a long time. The trout was flaky, moist, and wrapped around some Cajun rice with shrimp. Plus there were 3 smoky yet sweet tasting shrimp on top. I could’ve just eaten that shrimp! The two medallions also had fresh steamed carrots and broccoli and super yummy garlic and olive oil new potatoes. It was plenty for two people. We also had an appetizer of bacon-wrapped scallops which I was looking forward to. The scallops were a little over-done and rubbery but maybe that was to make sure the bacon was cooked through. Good tasting other than the texture. Looks like some other great items we’re trying next time. We’ll definitely be back!

Food was really good. It’s a cool spot to stop in to get drinks and food. The A/C was not working upstairs and made it slight uncomfortable but not unbearable. Service was slow and they were not busy., There was only three other tables upstairs with folks in them. I would definitely give it another shot and recommend if in Kemah stop by.

One of the best seafood places in Kemah. I love their seafood platters.

Went to the crazy Alan’s Swamp shack during our road trip in Texas recently. The crawfish is in season, so it was very fresh and tasty. We also tried the baked and fried oysters, gumbo soup and lobster soup. Everything tasted good and fresh. The only drawback was that the server recommended us to get 2-3 lbs of crawfish each, and that was way too much food which we couldn’t finish. The crawfish all come with potatoes as well.

This restaurant is definitely worth visiting for every bite you take. My family loves coming here during the summertime. Crazy Alan’s Swamp Shack offers a delicious menu with a variety of spicy and savory options that are all excellent. You’ll be licking your fingers clean! After you’ve finished your meal and are full, take some time to walk off your meal and enjoy the water and views around Kemah Boardwalk.

I have to say the food was excellent. Everything we selected was great and had lots of flavor. Yes the right spice. The shrimp cocktail was spicy but not over powering with heat. Plenty shrimp and the sauce was tasty. The calamari was well seasoned. We had the swamp trash with half onion rings half fries it was plenty for 2 people and we took some home. Our waitress was so sweet but she lot steam service wise towards the end. I think walking the stairs so many times took her out but other than that it is a great place. We will definitely be back.

Visiting Houston for 2 weeks and a trip to Kemah for some Cajun food was a must. We were lucky enough to get the last crawfish of the season. The service was outstanding thanks to Alana who was very attentive and kind. The food was great. You work hard for tiny bites but that’s how it is when eating crawfish. It’s part of the experience Live music was also performed on stage which was neat.

It’s what the name suggests. Cajun food. A little overpriced in my opinion. If you don’t mind seeing stuff on the floor (or our case the table) from the last person who used your table, you’ll be fine. We went for crawfish. Not as tasty as I like, but my kids enjoy the experience. I ordered a beans and rice and it was a mug for about $10. Like I said, a little overpriced for basic Cajun fare. Plus side, usually live music and cold beer .
