Got food poisoning here from steak n eggs. Do not recommend.

The atmosphere is severely outdated and looks dirty. Service was ok, no complaints there. BUT THE FOOD…. absolutely awful. I got steak and eggs and both tasted off.. I even gave a bite to my boyfriend who also agreed it tasted weird. Lo and behold, two hours later, my breakfast was coming out of both ends. And I know it was that place. I got the vibe that the diner probably attracts most of the city’s seniors & serving that kind of food is going to hurt one of them eventually, if not already. The health department should look into that place(looking at other reviews.. it seems as though theres a lot of unsanitary things going on there).

Ordered online to pick up, arrived around the suggested pickup time, and ended up walking out with two bags with food stuffed in it carelessly so things started to leak. Came home and realized I had 2 things of old and sour coleslaw, tilapia that was not made right and the seasoning made it taste like dirt. Y’all were out of baked potatoes so I never got one which wasn’t the issue, the issue was that I almost paid 75$ to add CHEESE to it. So if y’all had it I could’ve had to deal with that bs, because y’all’s DoorDash system is messed up. Very disappointed with the food, every time I’ve went recently the food has been mid at best. Very disappointing experience, and would honestly not recommend this place as there are way better options in Crawfordsville. At least other places can make sure to give you fresh food that hasn’t been sitting out for who knows how long.

I root for this place to get its act together. I’ve been coming here since 2018. It’s homey. But that’s not everything. It needs more than the recent cosmetic renovation.
The Forum is open every day from 6:00 to 9:00. That’s an advantage over The Breakfast Company which is open til 3:00. And Forum serves dinner, as well as breakfast and lunch. The food is fairly good.
First off, bring your flyswatter. I have my suspicions as to how they get in, but I’ll keep that to myself.
The men’s restroom is filthy. Staff use the restrooms. You have to grab the old, dirty, flimsy door by the handle to leave the restroom. There are no paper towels available to grab the handle and no foot pad to pull to door open. The door(s) should have been replaced long ago with something more hygienic. The restroom goes into the kitchen.
The servers very nice. No issues there. Some servers have been there a very long time and some feel as I do.

the french fries were as good as they get crispy without being greasy. the breaded and grilled tenderloins were pounded very thin almost to where it was difficult to taste them with the bun lettuce and tomato. they would have been better if they had cut out the gristle and the fat which are not very pleasant. you only get five onion rings per order which is more than enough because they are so greasy that we couldn’t eat them. unfortunately they’re still using styrofoam made from oil and unrecyclable there are much better options that are kinder to our children and our planet.

I was at this restaurant on 9/05/25 with my grandmother. We sat in a booth right by the register. I was bitten on the ankle while in the booth. It was a brown recluse and I am now 7 days into a severe medical situation. Please be mindful. This establishment should be doing daily cleaning of the floors and booths to prevent situations like this. I now have multiple medical bills stemming from this one visit. Please be careful.

Stopped here on the way home from Turkey Run after a long morning of hiking. I ended up having one of their omelets. DELICIOUS! Best omelet I’ve had in a long time. Atmosphere was relaxed and service was excellent. Will definitely stop in again on my next trip back!

The food is either prepackaged, frozen, microwaved, etc. I had the fried chicken. Overcooked and dry, even the thigh! “Mashed” potatoes are instant, green beans are from a can with onion bits with no flavor. They don’t season anything. Had chicken parm last time. Again tasted microwaved, watery sauce and pasta was mush. For as much as they charge, they could at least serve fresh and house made. Call Gordon Ramsey or Robert Irvine and get a do over. #Kitchen Nightmares #Restaurant Impossible.

The fried chicken was very good, the lettuce in the salad had been around a while. This place is going downhill, service left a lot to be desired and the entire place is in need of a good deep cleaning.
