Cute, eclectic, and very clean restaurant. Order at the front counter and they bring it to you table. Love the animal themed table markers. Light airy and relaxing. Food was excellent! The biscuits and gravy is amazing! Buttery and flaky.

Host/Waitress is very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure our order was done correctly. Even though they are short handed it wasn’t a deal breaker they are trying their best to get the food out in a timely manner. There is a store attached to the back of the cafe and it is worth the time to take a look. Thank you Crater Café! Will be recommending to friends and family!

My wife and I went in for lunch it is a very touristy vibe sort of a coffee house for people coming through the area it was hit and miss I ordered their club it was excellent she ordered the turkey cranberry sandwich which was a zero maybe if it was hot meat but the meat was cold and slimy and watery just didn’t work the salads are good will come back give them another chance. Just have a personal dislike to have to buss my own table like McDonald’s that’s a personal opinion and not having actual waiters or waitresses and having to order at the counter and pay just kind of killed the whole vibe but that’s the way they run it and give them respect for how clean it was except for when we went to buss our table the rack of dirty dishes was overflowing and there was no room to put the plates and had to cram it in kind of question the cleanliness of the whole thing then I’m wondering who’s cleaning the table etc. Do wander around there’s cool things to buy there’s a little cute store in the back and it shares with the nice dress shop next door it’s definitely worth a try just be warned on some aspects.

Excellent find! Take a break off I-5 for a cheery, creative, yummy, clean experience. Good coffee and menu selection. Breakfast was, well, really good! Prices were more than fair. Owner and staff friendly.

We stopped by on our way to Cali and ordered cappuccino, caramel lattes, French toast and the ultimate burrito. Staff was very friendly and took very good care of us. They even made us an extra latte and a round of frozen custard for waiting a while, and it which was delicious, definitely recommend.

Our first time visiting Crater Cafe today and as CP locals we were excited to try as we have heard great things. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed. After ordering at the counter and sitting down, it took 40 mins for our food to be brought to the table. That’s the longest we have waited at any restaurant, non to mention a cafe! When it was brought, my eggs had raw egg whites, the hashbrowns had no seasoning or flavor whatsoever, but the bacon was great. We were really shocked to wait 40 minutes for such a simple order. Not sure we will visit again after reading other reviews sharing it took 30+ mins for their food too.

It’s been really hard to find exceptional frozen custard outside of Wisconsin. We moved away a few years ago, and I’m so glad we found this place. The custard is AWESOME!!!
