Stopped in Dillon, MT while passing through and looking for a solid burger. The space feels true to its setting—a classic Montana pub with a relaxed atmosphere and a well-rounded whiskey selection. Service was friendly and unforced, which suited the place well.

The Montana Burger was the standout. It tasted freshly prepared, with crisp bacon and properly caramelized onions that added depth without overpowering the burger itself. The tater tots, however, were heavily salted and distracted from an otherwise well-executed plate. Still, the burger alone makes this a worthwhile stop if you’re in Dillon.

We are local to Dillon, and when we go out, we go to Cranny’s. Most of the food is homemade and not straight out of a freezer bag, and you can really taste the difference.

We are in our mid 30s and love the vibe on both sides of the restaurant. The bar side is fun and social, and the dining room is great when you want to sit down and relax. It is a solid hangout spot for college students and older adults alike.

The staff are awesome. Some are a little sassy, which I love, and everyone is kind and welcoming. They really make you feel at home.

First of all, you have to go to the counter to order. You have to go get your own drinks or water, whatever your own condiments. Your own silverware and napkins took very a very long time since the place had just cleared out so it wasn’t busy. The food was horrible. The soup hamburger soup. I know it’s greasy hamburger soup is greasy was cold which made it even worse. I did return it and got an additional little pasta salad which is the other thing. I ordered breakfast burrito for $11.49. really had nothing in it. I know it’s rodeo days but they were not busy. The bathrooms were so dirty would not recommend and would never go back to this place.

We ordered at the bar. Drinks and condiments are self-service. Which is a nice change, to be honest. Food came out quickly. Burt (the complaint department dog) kept checking in with us.

Im here every day and it is by far the best food, drinks, and place to hang out in Dillon! The specials are home made by the owner, different every day, and always SO GOOD. ALWAYS! The cooks are the best in town, and the bartenders are some of the best in the business. They have all day drink deals where your second shot in a double drink is half price! They have generous pours too! Wether you want to have a nice dinner with family and kids on the restaurant side, or have a good night with good friends hanging out on the bar side, this place is always friendly and a good time. The counter service is amazing and they have a huge selection of sauces and other condiments in their self serve station. However they go above and beyond and staff along with the owner regularly come around and check on customers. If you need something, just say something and they’re at your beck and call! Check out their grab and go fridge for cheap meals to reheat or frozen soup for later! I never have anything but fantastic things to say about this place. Its always clean when I’m there, and like I said I’m there every single day, and even at different times of the day too. One of their attractions is Bert! He’s such a handsome boy and nothing but an extremely well trained service dog for the bar manager. I cant STAND untrained dogs (or kids and dogs in general for the most part) that people try to pass as service dogs, but its very obvious this dog is one of a kind, listens so well, and I love him so much! Kinda like a bar bouncer or the mascot! Stop by, you won’t be disappointed! And dont forget to get a picture by the postcard from Dillon mural on the side of the building! Which by the way was HAND PAINTED by the owner and another local artist! Its ALWAYS a good experience at Cranny’s!

Such a hidden gem in Dillon, MT! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was just as wonderful. The girl with the red bow was so sweet and welcoming (I can’t remember her name) she even took the time to show me where everything was. The entire space was spotless and beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend stopping by, especially for the burgers they’re incredible!

This is such a fabulous spot! We strolled in 20 mins past 11am and the owner still let us order the huge pancake with delicious blueberries. I had a special sausage egg sandwich on the most delicious homemade biscuit. Bought two frozen soups (clam chowder & shredded beef taco) and took them home to Utah. Both were extremely delicious, flavorful, and seasoned perfectly!

It was a fantastic breakfast. I had a breakfast burrito. You serve yourself after you pay at the counter. They bring out your food to the table, but you get your own beverages and utensils.

I choose to spend my ‘eating out’ dollars at local businesses and for the past 8+ months, my go to lunch spot has been Cranny’s Montana St. Grill! The homemade soups are amazing. Full of flavor and creative combinations, I have not been disappointed to date. Check the freezer for to go soups! Breakfast, Lunch, Specials, plenty of options to fit what I am in the mood. Katie, Kikki and the day crew make me feel like a valued regular on Cheers! Congrats on your 1 year anniversary, Katie!
