Reviews
the soaring arches, the warm, sculptural lighting, the way the architecture frames each room so thoughtfully.
And speaking of welcoming… the staff was amazing. Every single person we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely excited to walk us through the experience.
Then the food started arriving, and it honestly just kept getting better with every course. We kicked things off with what might genuinely be the best bread basket I’ve ever had – even the basket itself was edible. Such a fun, unexpected detail that immediately tells you the kitchen is playing at a very creative, elevated level.
We followed that with the croquette topped with caviar, which was outstanding! We also ordered a salad that leaned a bit more seafood-forward than expected, but still super fresh. Oh, and the warm tomatoes. It sounds simple, but these were unbelievable!! Bursting with flavor and the way they paired with the feta on top was just perfection.
We finished with the short rib, which was incredibly tender and full of depth.
All in all, Crane Club completely exceeded expectations. It’s the kind of restaurant that gets every detail right, from the atmosphere and service to the creativity and execution of the dishes.
Artic Char was nice and crispy in a butternut squash sauce. The fish itself tasted very fishy and couldn’t finish it.
Bone in rib eye was cooked perfect, very moist. The Bordelaise sauce took it over the top.
Agnolotti pasta stuffed with braised pork with an aged basaltic. This was ridiculously good.
Overall really great place. Very upscale. Quality is the best a must visit.
Thanks for a great experience
The bread basket has a delectable assortment of breads, along with labne and butter. The golden beets are rich and flavorful due to the labne and pistachio. The Agnolotti has a nice umami flavor with the aged balsamic, but is quite small in portion. The bone in rib eye was delicious and probably everyone’s favorite of the night.
The steak is nothing short of spectacular, perfectly seared with a caramelized crust and tender, juicy center that melts with each bite. You can taste the care in its preparation and the quality of the cut.
The sweet potatoes are an unexpected standout — silky, subtly sweet, and beautifully balanced with a touch of seasoning that complements the richness of the steak. It’s a perfect example of how The Crane Club takes comfort classics and transforms them into something elevated and memorable.
One of the most special touches of the evening was the champagne toast for a birthday celebration. It wasn’t just a gesture, it felt personal, joyful, and perfectly orchestrated.
The service deserves its own standing ovation. The sommelier and wine director curated pairings that elevated every course, thoughtful, precise, and clearly driven by passion and deep knowledge. The entire team, from the servers to the hosts, radiated warmth and professionalism without ever feeling overbearing. It’s rare to see hospitality executed with this much grace and attention to detail.
At The Crane Club, everything from the food to the service to the ambiance works in harmony. It’s a place that makes you feel celebrated, whether you’re there for a milestone or simply an unforgettable meal.
Special thank you to Abe for checking in on us throughout the night and ensuring it was a social experience. Cannot recommend highly enough!
The food felt underwhelming for the price point, and the service lacked attentiveness despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. Attention to detail could be improved.
In New York, it’s possible to find more balanced experiences within the same category.
