They got my order completely wrong. Ordered a flank steak served with rice, potatoes, onions, and tomatoes. They gave me rice with overcooked streak bits. It literally looked like someone’s left overs, and the box was already soggy. Then when I brought it back to fix it, they just poured onions pepper and tomatoes onto it. They did not sautee it with the steak, did not recook the steak which i ordered medium, and there are still no potatoes. Not to mention they did not have the fried ravioli I ordered, and I didn’t see the charge removed from my card yet. 🙂

The Wendy’s is a typical Wendy’s and gets most orders right. Muller’s Pub is a mixed bag- the burger buns have the texture of those plastic fake food things you get as a kid with one of those kitchen playsets. The Jersey Mike’s is either perfect or agonizingly slow, but they sometimes give you a free drink or something to make up for the wait. Ciao Bella is a sorry excuse for pizza and ought to be replaced- seriously, anything in the frozen aisle is better and cheaper. The convenience store has decent prices, but it can take a while to check out because of their crappy point of sale system. Haven’t tried the Mexican or sushi places in the middle, but the sushi is definitely overpriced considering most items prominently use imitation crab. The dining room is always clean and a nice place to take a lunch break.

I was a commuting student at Rider for 6 years, so I’ve been to Cranberry’s a lot. Of course, since the venue recently changed to a new vendor, only the past year or so is relevant. Sadly, I think the new vendor is terrible. The food is absurdly overpriced, and there are very few options. I went occasionally if I had business on campus because during the school year there was a $10 burger/fries combo. Went today, and was charged $20. If you’re a student trapped on campus, I feel really bad that they think they can gouge you that badly. I’m probably not coming back.

Update: The head of food services did respond to my email, and is going to refund my money and give me a voucher for a future purchase. So at least upper management is willing to make things right when cashiers mess up.

To be fair, the building is under construction. The reduced menu leaves you wanting more. If you want something fried, or grilled, stop by. You might have to flag down the staff to help you out. The food is ok in a pinch, but would skip it if you can.

Campus restricted. Not a real business. Shouldn’t be on the map.
