Arrived late in night, starving! The lady waitress had enough patience for me to decide on the wine and the food. Had the Mignon with Piemonte and do not regret a thing! Although they were close to end hours, she told me I can finish my drink relaxed, which is great when you arrive in a rush and you need to breathe in and relax. Cool spot with history. the security was noticeable nice! Big up! The outside art is trippy and it made me feel that I belong haha. They also offer to go 🙂

As part of a birthday celebration we was recommended by the hotel we was staying at to have a dinner at Craigs and we was not disappointed.

There is a very exclusive vibe to the restaurant with no windows to see inside from the outside. Coming from the UK we knew LA had a celebrity culture and we heard this spot is favoured by high profile guests so we opted to celebrate the birthday here to see what the buzz was about.

We managed to park out in front and immediately we noticed the paparazzi. Exciting to see as it’s not something I’ve seen this close back in London. We got taken to our table with Annie being our server for the night. Top service from her as she immediately recognised it was a birthday celebration and was helpful in recommending dishes and also explaining a bit about Craigs as well.

I usually don’t get amazed by food. Either it’s good food or bad food for me but the food I had Craigs did wow me. I had the Meldman’s Honey Truffle Chicken with cheesecake for dessert.

For it being a celebrity hotspot I was expecting a big bill at the end but I was surprised it was pretty normal fine dining prices (similar to what I’d pay in London).

The icing on the cake was discovering we was dining a couple booths away from Al Pacino. Overall it was a 5/5 experience. Not sure when I will next visit LA again but when I do I will 100% be coming back to Craig’s.

Amazing anniversary celebration! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary together at Craigs, our first time. Bryan, who served us, was warm, attentive, and great at his job! We had an amazing time, the cocktails and wine were definitely standouts. Our food was great as well, definitely a cool atmosphere too! Great time

An LA institution for a reason. Good American and Italian comfort food in a relaxed environment with good people watching. Even has a relatively large vegan menu. The food was all good. Love their bread basket. Service is beyond top notch. If I lived here I’d hang here

Came for a Halloween dinner
We had: key lime pie martini, whiskey sour (their own way), oysters, short rib risotto and a chicken piccata (it’s not on the menu, but you can ask). Everything was delicious. I unfortunately can’t remember our server girl name but she was awesome. Craig’s never disappoints

Beautiful evening at Craig’s — such a chic and stylish restaurant with amazing food and a great atmosphere. You really do feel like you might spot a celebrity here! Elegant but still warm and welcoming. Truly a special LA experience ✨ ️

Craig’s definitely delivers on the ‘see and be seen’ vibe—very fancy crowd.

Service was good, but the food was a letdown for the prices.
My burger was bland, and the ‘Basque Cheesecake’ was overbaked, lacking the signature creaminess. It tasted more like a standard American cheesecake without a crust.

Expected much better quality for this price point

My friend was keen to try Craig’s as it’s an iconic LA spot so we gave it a go as walkins mid week. Although they were of course booked up for the night, the staff were welcoming and found us a spot at the bar to eat at within about 15 minutes.

The atmosphere was wonderful and buzzy. We tried the shrimp and burger, both were good! The kitchen also went out of their way when we happen to mention we would be sharing a burger and provided us with separate plates, which was a lovely touch.

Craig’s on Melrose is one of the true gems of Los Angeles dining. From the moment you walk in you feel the energy of a place that has mastered the art of hospitality. Patty, the maître d’, is world class at making guests feel right at home. She manages the busy flow of the room with ease and ensures that every table feels like the most important one in the house. That level of care sets the tone for an evening where everything else falls into place.

The menu delivers exactly what you want from a modern American restaurant with an old school backbone. I had the spicy lobster pasta and it was once again a winner, perfectly cooked with generous lobster and just the right balance of heat and flavor. Craig’s is also known for its filet with blue cheese ravioli, a dish that combines comfort with elegance, and the cioppino which is a standout for seafood lovers. Even the vegan dishes here have earned their reputation as thoughtful and delicious, proving that the kitchen takes every part of the menu seriously.

The cocktails are perfectly crafted, strong and balanced, and the wine list complements the food beautifully. The atmosphere recalls the best of classic supper clubs with dark wood, soft lighting, and an understated glamour that draws both Hollywood names and everyday diners. It is the kind of place where you might spot a celebrity at the next table yet feel completely at ease yourself. The service is seamless, the management clearly attentive, and the overall experience is consistently excellent. Craig’s has been an anchor on Melrose for over a decade because it combines great food, impeccable service, and an atmosphere that makes every night feel special. Five stars without hesitation.

We had a great experience at Craig’s. I had no idea it was known for celebrities and we saw a few and other customers in very dressy clothing. I’m not sure if it’s because the Oscar’s were that same night which I also had no clue. We just found it had reservations last minute because everything was closed after our delayed flight. We were very casual and the staff was still very welcoming and friendly. The bread they serve in the begining is very fresh and delicious! The Caesar salad could have been better. It seemed like there was hardly any dressing. We also got the short rib dish and pizza, both were very good.
