We didn’t know that they closed at 10:00PM the closer it got to closing the more pushy that Asian lady was. Not sure if she was the manager or the owner but it’s really disrespectful to talk out loud & have your employee’s to tell your paying customers to hurry up because we close at 10. Our waitress never said anything to us but we still hurried up to leave before 10:00PM. I will never be back to this location not only did we not feel wanted, the sea boil was salty, the overcharged lobster tail was rubbish & chewy to eat. And it was expensive. What we paid for did not meet expectations. Food quality wise & customers service wise.
I went to wash my hand at 9:55PM and one of the kitchen employees comes out yelling lets go it’s closing time. And the Asian lady tells him no, we still have a customer & there he goes huffing & puffing back into the kitchen.
Unfortunately, the first impression didn’t improve much once I walked in. The service left a lot to be desired. The hostess and bar staff weren’t exactly welcoming, and their attitude wasn’t something I’d be proud of if I were the owner. It definitely set a tone that made it hard to relax and enjoy the experience.
That said, the food itself was better than I expected. The crab didn’t quite taste fresh to me — it had that slightly rubbery texture that suggests it was previously frozen, though I was told otherwise. But what the seafood lacked in freshness, the Cajun sauce absolutely made up for. It was flavorful, rich, and really carried the meal.
All in all, I wouldn’t rush back, but I wouldn’t write it off entirely either. If you’re craving seafood and care more about flavor than ambiance or service, it might still be worth checking out — just temper your expectations.
The Bad: The Gumbo had way to much okra, the sausage (more like boiled hot dogs, no char). Zero seasoning on the fried shrimp or fried okra. The music kinds sucks
The seafood boil was excellent—full of flavor, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh, exactly what you hope for at a seafood spot.
Overall, a really enjoyable dining experience. We’d definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for good seafood in Panama City.
