Fast, friendly service. Reasonably priced. We had the seafood ramen and gumbo. Sorry for food missing in the picture; the Calamari appetizer was tasty and gobbled up fast! We’ve also been to the Crafty Crab in Tallahassee and enjoyed it.

Went in at 8:30PM. Our waitress was good, she took our drinks & ordered food. Was helpful when ordering. Food came out pretty quickly, which I was surprised.
We didn’t know that they closed at 10:00PM the closer it got to closing the more pushy that Asian lady was. Not sure if she was the manager or the owner but it’s really disrespectful to talk out loud & have your employee’s to tell your paying customers to hurry up because we close at 10. Our waitress never said anything to us but we still hurried up to leave before 10:00PM. I will never be back to this location not only did we not feel wanted, the sea boil was salty, the overcharged lobster tail was rubbish & chewy to eat. And it was expensive. What we paid for did not meet expectations. Food quality wise & customers service wise.
I went to wash my hand at 9:55PM and one of the kitchen employees comes out yelling lets go it’s closing time. And the Asian lady tells him no, we still have a customer & there he goes huffing & puffing back into the kitchen.

The service when you walk in was great. When seated we got our drinks quickly and ordered soon after. The fried calamari was over cooked twice. The seafood platter barely had flavor. The butter tasted like water. The crab legs were small and over all the service wasn’t good.

I’m not going to lie — when I pulled up to Crafty Crab, I had second thoughts. The location and exterior didn’t exactly inspire confidence, and I seriously considered turning around. But after driving 25 minutes to get there, I figured I might as well give it a shot.

Unfortunately, the first impression didn’t improve much once I walked in. The service left a lot to be desired. The hostess and bar staff weren’t exactly welcoming, and their attitude wasn’t something I’d be proud of if I were the owner. It definitely set a tone that made it hard to relax and enjoy the experience.

That said, the food itself was better than I expected. The crab didn’t quite taste fresh to me — it had that slightly rubbery texture that suggests it was previously frozen, though I was told otherwise. But what the seafood lacked in freshness, the Cajun sauce absolutely made up for. It was flavorful, rich, and really carried the meal.

All in all, I wouldn’t rush back, but I wouldn’t write it off entirely either. If you’re craving seafood and care more about flavor than ambiance or service, it might still be worth checking out — just temper your expectations.

Really good food, just very expensive. But being fresh seafood, it is worth it. Come and try it out! Best to share a seafood platter. 18% gratuity for parties of 6 or more come, with 5 or less people.

The Good: The seafood boil, add egg and Ramen and it will change your life! The drinks are good, and the service was nice.

The Bad: The Gumbo had way to much okra, the sausage (more like boiled hot dogs, no char). Zero seasoning on the fried shrimp or fried okra. The music kinds sucks

Food was amazing! We had a crab boil a week prior at another place and it was such a disappointment. This was not! Our server Jasmine was the best server we have had in a long long time! She was incredible and made the experience 100% plus!

Oh my…drive away from the beach and eat here. This place is “Dabomb”. I got a huge seafood platter. Took most of it back to the ABB. My wife got the Dungeoness Crab. Incredible food, great service and atmosphere. Prices as expected but not off the chain.

We had a great meal at Crafty Crab. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out hot and fresh.
The seafood boil was excellent—full of flavor, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Portions were generous and everything tasted fresh, exactly what you hope for at a seafood spot.
Overall, a really enjoyable dining experience. We’d definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for good seafood in Panama City.

This was my second order from this restaurant, my only complaint is the lobster tail was chintzy and small. I called the restaurant, and wondered why I paid over $30 . They said to bring my lobster tail in. But I’m a senior citizen and am in for the night. So I won’t be ordering from them anymore.
