Megan was the BEST server!!! She gave us laughs and giggles and even helped us figure out what was best for us!! Were from the south and Megan gave us that southern hospitality that we miss from home. The food was well seasoned and well cooked. Damien the chef did his big one tonight!!!! My food was very old it seems as if I got what was left of lunch! Which was not cool for as much as I paid for my dinner meal. I got the Crab seafood boil my shrimp scampi was blue in color, my corn was soft and mushy. Overall I was not impressed with my meal at all, and or the price I paid I expected better. If I ever return to your restaurant I will do my best to look at my food ( that is buried under all of the sauce) before I leave the restaurant.

Went to for dinner with my mom and friends on a Wednesday evening. Service was so-so. The food was definitely good. We ordered fried oyster with onion wings, fried catfish w/ fries, hush puppies and a shrimp salad. Everything arrived to the table hot and delish. Good eats! Definitely returning soon.

Ended up here by coincidence, and suite glad we did. It was delicious. Things to know ahead… It’s basically family style dining and we were unaware. That said, we had the June special and loved it. There were 7 of us and one special with some sides was more than enough, even though our waiter insisted it wasn’t. No leftovers. The only thing lacking was the the service. It wasn’t busy inside, but we didn’t get waters, utensils, crab cracking tools cups… That said, or server was GREAT, when he came by. The urinal situation in the men’s restroom was a little sketch… But overall I loved this place!

My mom and I ended up at the Crafty Crab by accident. We were supposed to have hibachi at Otani’s which is also located in Golden Gate, but no chefs had shown up to work that day. So we made a quick pivot to the Crafty Crab and it was a great experience!
If you order a boil, you choose what seafood you want (shrimp, lobster, crab, etc), what kind of seasoning (Cajun, garlic butter, etc) and what level of spiciness you want.
I had the headless shrimp boil (it came with corn on the cob and potatoes)with mild Cajun spice. I hadn’t had a boil in a quiye while and it was very tasty. My mom ordered the fried catfish with a side of sweet potato fries. She enjoyed her meal, too, and it was so much food that she couldn’t finish it.
The staff was friendly and the manager came to check on us halfway through our meal. No complaints there.
I’ve been back with my husband a few times, too. He enjoyed the food as well. If you’re looking for a place that serves good seafood, I’d recommend giving the Crafty Crab a try.

Great seafood and ambient, the staffs are very friendly and the food is served rather fast. The crab and scallops are fresh.
Please remember to shake really well before you eat, or try to finish the clams first as they will be overly salty if you let them sit till the end of your meal.

The no refunds stickers on the menus should have been a clue. I’ve actually never been dining in a restaurant WHILE it was going bankrupt but the food, service, no heat, substitutions…just sad…this place use to be great.

Hands down a great culinary experience. Went in for a date lunch with the wife. The server Deondra was excellent and would highly reccomend asking for her. The management was great. Now to the food. Just wow, ordered way more than we should just to try every thing and it was all phenomenal. You want an amazing time go here. So glad I found this place. Please keep up the great work.

I called on 4/22/25 and placed a pick up order considering I was coming all the way from Lakewood. First I had to call twice because no one picked up the first time. Long story short I wanted a boil bag with shrimp the guy asked half pound or pound? I then asked him HOW MUCH IS A POUND? He told me $15 for the lunch special. I said ok…. The price shocked me I asked him twice!
Once I get there I come in he had the worst attitude I have ever experienced in my life in a restaurant and yes I truly mean that. Taller male black with glasses that bitterly acts like a female yes I said what I said so that the OWNERS KNOW EXACTLY WHO IM TALKING ABOUT!
So first there was zero customers inside I wonder why? Also made me wonder why I had to call twice…
Took a minute for him to come out I said hello I placed a phone order he stared at the bag sitting on the counter for ever acted super confused I told him that’s my bag I see my name on it.
Then continued to ask me what I had multiple times when it was on the bag. Shrimp bag with the potatoes and corn it comes with and swapped out the eggs for another potato and corn… that was another issue I said this on the phone and when I came in he kept saying just a potato I had to repeat myself again and say I told you this on the phone if I can swap the two eggs for another potato and corn.
Anyways he has an attitude the whole time and seemed like he didn’t know what he was doing extremely confused. Then tells me the total which was $38 I said whoever o spoke to told me $15 for the lunch special mind you I called with attached screenshot at 3:20… he then starts to argue with me and tell me no I didn’t. I said wait a second don’t argue with me I don’t care about the price of this bag but when you tell me $15 on the phone and now that I came all the way from Lakewood in the middle of rush hour and your now adding more than double the price and giving me an attitude when I’m asking you where did you get $38 from $15 big issue. He had a horrible attitude and continued to argue with me about it I said listen I don’t know why your arguing with me when you told me $15 I asked you twice for the prices and you informed me that’s the lunch special over the phone but then now I’m here he continued to say that he did not. From this point on I’m going to start recording calls when I place orders over the phone just because of this guy. But I will never ever step foot in this place again. I don’t like to get people in trouble but this guy needs to go because he kept arguing with me and lying I told him you know what keep the bag and no not because of the price I went down the street to Juicy’s Seafood better vibe better customer service and there were multiple customers inside and better price too I spent $30 with vegetables added and a drink instead of $40 no attitude or disrespect included. He honestly hates his life and job and doesn’t want to be there. He needs to move on this is not his field. He’s running your customers away!
