Crafthouse North is hands-down one of my favorite spots. The open space has plenty of seating, so it never feels cramped. The bar staff is awesome and they always have great recommendations and clearly know their beer. With a rotating draft list, there is always something new to try, and honestly, I have yet to have one I didn’t love. You truly cannot beat the happy hour from 4-6pm (all day on Wednesdays). All draft beers are just $6 and they have selected apps for $5 and are big enough to share!! The crab rangoons are made in-house and are, without question, the best I have ever had – very little batter and filled with real crab (not the imitation stuff!). The Alaska roll was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious as well. The music selection is always on point and really creates a fun vibe! The food is consistently great, the staff is genuinely friendly, and the rotating beer lineup keeps us coming back to discover new favorites. This is a definite must-try! Ohh big parking lot!

Crafthouse North is an incredible new addition to North Mount Pleasant!
Whether you’re a craft beer lover, a cocktail enthusiast, or just looking for a fun, welcoming spot to hang out—this place has it all. The tap list is diverse and well-thought-out, with 12 taps rotating local and fun brews with Bottoms Up Draft Beer Systems, plus canned beer & Frozè available to-go (huge bonus!)
The food is way beyond typical bar fare. Max Sushi with rolls and ramen are legit—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. And if sushi isn’t your thing, there’s a solid menu of elevated bar food to keep everyone happy.
Cocktail lovers won’t be disappointed either: the frozen espresso martinis are dangerously good, and the frozè drink is the perfect indulgent treat on a hot Charleston day. The bar has a great selection of spirits, so there’s truly something for everyone.
The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and happy to make recommendations. The indoor space is stylish but cozy, and the outdoor patio is a dream—spacious, breezy, and dog-friendly! Between the drinks, the food, and the chill vibe, Crafthouse North is officially our new go-to. They’re still new, but everything feels dialed in already. I see they are adding Trivia on Tuesdays and Music Bingo on Thursdays. Can’t wait to see what other kind of events they bring in over time. Can’t wait to come back!

The video says it all. I’ve had sushi all over the country, the sushi chef’s presentation is the best I’ve ever seen! Everything was ultra fresh and top shelf. Even the ginger and wasabi were some of the best I’ve ever had. We enjoyed the beer selection and they make great margaritas also.

I walked in there the first time last year and they were doing trivia I walked in again this year in February on a Wednesday night and it was a man singing karaoke. I’m sorry I give this place another year maybe 2 years before they go under.. it’s not a place I ever want to go.. it’s boring. On both occasions I walked in turned around and left.. I don’t think I’ll ever go back..

I hate that I have to rate this place a 3. I love the owners, love the servers, love the food….but the beer list is just bad. I thought over time it would improve, but week to week it hardly changes and when it does, it’s the same old stuff. The worst of the Charleston brewery selections and nothing interesting from the craft beer world that many others around are bringing in. And $11 for a can? That’s very outrageous. I keep coming back because I so want it to get better. Truly hoping the beer selection improves.

Gas stations sushi at downtown Charleston gourmet prices.
We went here for Trivia and it was noisy, chaotic and spent half my time queuing.
Range of beers is average. Service was poor and food took ages to come out. Also at almost $19 for a specialty roll that looked like a standard roll with a bit of cucumber in it is horrific value. I’ve seen and tasted better had-station sushi.

The concept is good. The execution is poor. No wait staff so you have to wait in line to order everything. There are 2 lines for the whole place. Each time you need a drink, get ready to wait in line. Spent more time waiting in line than spending time with friends. Food took about an hour. (I was warned food was taking an hour) food gets to you as you need another drink. Now you have to choose between cold food and getting that drink.
