First time to a Cracker Barrell. Had the Sizzlin Steak with a side of dumplings, steak fries, and fried apples. Also chose the corn bread. Wife had the Chicken Fried chicken steak with hashbrown casserole and she chose the Bisquits with a side of gravy. We both had the Peach Ice tea, all for under $45!!! Goodness!!! YUP, everything was spot on. I don’t like gravy as a rule, but this was THEE most flavorful gravy I have ever tasted – it tasted like smokey sausage. I asked for a Medium rare and it was on the “red side”, so if you like no pink, you better ask for medium well. Dumplings were good, and the Fried Apples tasted like an apple pie filling. My wife’s Biscuits were homemade and taste ridiculous with the gravy. My cornbread was beautiful with honey.

Finally was able to try breakfast here! There’s a wait list online so sign up before you arrive. We got on the wait list when we pulled into the parking lot. We waited about 10-15 mins. We browsed around the store while we waited, lots of cute items!

I will not be returning back here….looks can be deceiving. My husband and I ordered the southern fried chicken with mashed potatoes, okra, Mac n cheese.We swapped out the potatoes for another Mac n cheese and did steak fries. The food was very bland and tasted as if it was old not fresh. The steak fries tasted as if they were freezer burned We clearly heard the waitress say it was going to be 25 minutes for the chicken and 2 minutes later our chicken came out. It was as if the u was old and they dropped it in the fryer to make it seem fresh. We paid $50 for some nasty food took the left overs home thinking maybe our kids would want it but they had the same complaints and didn’t eat it! Ended up at the McDonald’s drive thru for some food as soon as we left.

Been wanting to try Cracker Barrel for sometime now and finally got my chance while visiting friends in the area. Decor in this restaurant is super cute. They also have a store you can shop in while you wait. We went in on a Sunday around 11am. Wait was about 30-40mins to get a table for four. Service wasn’t bad considering how busy they were. Food was yummy but I’m here to tell you about them biscuits super yumm!! Fluffy warm buttery so good. I was impressed. Deliciousness was all over the table but it’s the biscuits I’ll be back for. If you’re a breakfast lover like me don’t miss this spot.
