Worst experience at a Cracker Barrel ever. Went for dinner Monday night 530pm Not busy.
Meatloaf was so thin and dry. Tasted old.
Even the replacement piece of meatloaf, although a larger portion, tasted the same. Definitely not the Cracker Barrel meatloaf (only reason I go to Cracker Barrel is for the meatloaf)
I’ve had for the past many, many years. The meatloaf has gone down hill.
Kylie was our server was pleasant.

I have been in Arizona since 76, so many restaurants closed like Bob’s Big Boy, JB’s and Sambo’s. I’m so glad this place is still in business. I love American breakfast. Carolyn our waitress is the best. Food is always good no complain.

Always love Cracker Barrel… this is just to let you know the $6 Take Home meal thing is not that good on value. Tiny peice of meatloaf… I wouldve been better off ordering the actual entree and just taking a doggy bag… this feels more like a $3 meal deal… I won’t be doing this again…

Very Disappointed! First time at a Cracker Barrel. I ordered county fryed steak with coleslaw and steak fries. Wife had stake with green beans and mashed potatoes and gravy. We also had some chicken strips with ranch. So the good parts. The service was great. Very nice. The coleslaw was good with some sweetness to it. The steak frys were really good and so was the ranch! Omg that ranch is soo good. On the bad.. the steak was dry and rubbery and the taste was bland. The green beans were ok but kinda cool and not much taste too. The county fried steak was so rubbery and had no crunch to it! The gravy had no taste to it either. I had to add so much salt and pepper to it. It’s the worst county fryed steak I had ever had. The chicken strips were also rubbery but with the ranch it tasted ok. So so rubbery. I was looking forward to eating here for the first time but left very Disappointed and will not be eating here again.

We arrived at our hotel to find no microwave so needed a last minute solution for dinner. From the minute we walked in we were greeted warmly, and when our server arrived we knew immediately we would be well cared for. Never was friendly and helpful without being intrusive. She went above and beyond to be sure we didn’t need anything and brought extra butter and kept water glasses filled. We both had the trout and it was flavorful and tender. Biscuits and corn muffins were also fresh and hot. All in all we were pleasantly surprised since we’ve been to other Cracker Barrel locations and didn’t have great service. Kudos to Gilbert’s Cracker Barrel.

Something has happened to our Cracker Barrel. Turnover seems extraordinarily high. Staff acts untrained and indifferent. Food has gone downhill. Some items are fine, but many are inedible or inconsistent.
My eggs were fine. Bacon was weird. One piece was so overcooked and brittle I couldn’t eat it. One slice was raw on one end. The pancakes were overcooked, tasteless and cold.
Server was nearly absent. Had to get our own silverware, salt and pepper.
Cashier on the way out was unsympathetic to the experience, saying plenty of people didn’t like the food that day. When I left no tip, the cashier tried to shame me.
With so many breakfast options available, you would think they would be more self aware…

We enjoyed another great breakfast here. Of course we were comfortable in the homey atmosphere. The food was expertly prepared. My eggs were cooked perfectly. The blueberry pancakes were simply divine. Service was friendly, quick and efficient. My only negative is the colonial style hard wood chairs. After sitting awhile, my bottom was hurting. Would it be so hard to have padded chairs?
