Me and my party of four came here just before noon for a lunch, so naturally it was quite busy. We waited thirty minutes for our table, and wait seating outside was scarce. But once our table was ready, we were seated and served almost immediately.
Our waiter was Tommy, he said he was new to the job so we were patient with him and didn’t mind repeating things if he needed. He was very kind and made sure that we felt welcome and taken care of. We also had a nice conversation during the meal. He was excellent, and we gave him a tip.
I ordered the six-piece crispy chicken tenders, with hash brown casserole and bacon mac n’ cheese on the side. The food took longer than usual due to how busy the restaurant was, but when our food did arrive, it was brought all at once and was served hot, so it was made fresh.
We enjoyed our meal and were very thankful for the service. I would definitely recommend coming here, although probably when it’s a bit quieter.
If you have Tommy as your waiter, please be patient with him as he is a brilliant waiter and I am sure you will be taken care of.

I just had one of the BEST dining experiences of my life at Cracker Barrel in Texas. My server was absolutely amazing—so sweet, caring, and full of great energy. Her customer service was hands down the best I’ve ever received in all my years.
She made me feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. The whole experience was filled with warmth and hospitality—it was truly the most humble and heartfelt service I’ve encountered.
If I ever find myself back in Texas, I’m definitely coming back—for the food, yes, but especially for the incredible service. Thank you for making my visit so memorable! ️

We were offered Biscuits & cornbread After we ordered. Asked him for Silverware and he said the Hostess was suppose to have given them to us so instead bringing regular silverware he brought us plastic silverware. I ordered Steak & Fried Shrimp. My wife & Daughter ordered The Chicken Fried Chicken. When the food came out we had missing items & had to ask the server for them… the Gravy for the Chicken & one of my sides. My steak was so overcooked the inside was white. My fried shrimp didn’t come with any sauces like Tartar or Coctail sauce. The service was OK, seemed to have an excuse for everything, why we got plastic ware or why our food didn’t come out the way it did etc. When I payed out I explained to the cashier the situation & she said she hadn’t eaten there in years didn’t know about how the silverware was suppose to be. She did confirm the Hostess was suppose to bring the silverware out. Our servers tables were the only tables in the restaurant with plastic ware.

This place was not as good as I remember it. We waited 40 minutes for our food only to find my parents’ ny steaks overcooked (we ordered then medium rare, they were well done), my smoky southern chicken was dry, mac and cheese cold… the only good things were the loaded baked sweet potatoes and breakfast plates my siblings ordered but you can’t go wrong with pancakes I suppose. .. even the biscuits and corn bread was cold and dry, tasteless. Never coming again.
The server was sweet, and the cashier at the store was so nice. The only positives of the experience. Fortunately my little sister still had a good time.

We were a large crowd of close to 20 but I have to give the server credit. She took our orders quickly and orderly. Our drinks came quickly the coffe refills kept coming so the service was excellent. This was very good also. I had the eggs Benny with a side of grits. It came with cooked apples which was very god also. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a place to have breakfast or brunch.

Surprisingly, the food, service, and atmosphere were all on point, with no issues or concerns. Hot food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Actually ate at this particular restaurant on a late Friday evening and again Saturday afternoon. Was a little more busier on Saturday, with a 20 minute wait. But it was worth it. I did not understand why the host would ask for a cell phone number so that I could receive a text when our table was ready, but once the table was ready, the host yelled my name. I barely heard it because the waiting area (shopping area), was crowded. By the time I walked 15 feet to the host, our table had been given to others, so my family and I were put on the wait list again for 10 more minutes. So again, what is the reason for asking for my cell number? Other than that, which I won’t give again, all was good. Recommend this restaurant, but not providing a phone number, since your name will be yelled out anyway. Just stay close to host.

5 out of the 6 meals we ordered were bad. Mine was a Sunday pot pie special and it was like a creamy base with a few carrot pieces and potatoes no meat.
My husband ordered country fried Turkey steak and it looked double cooked plus the cranberry side was BBQ sauce. My son’s rainbow Trout was dry and the green beans tasted old.

All I can really say is it’s consistent for a chain restaurant; you’ll get the same exact meteoric receipt. Service was fair; our server had a smile on the entire time. Went to dinner with my parents to catch up; we were able to not get rushed out at all as we were able to catch up. There are not too many healthy or vegan options to choose from here. If health or diet are any restrictions for you, definitely don’t use this space. I had grilled chicken tenders and broccoli, but they were both covered in some sort of sauce that the waitress didn’t know about.

It has been six years since I’ve been to a Cracker Barrel (don’t judge me, we moved here 6 years ago and San Antonio has SOOOO many restaurants I wanted to try). We are off today so we decided to stop here while we wait for my husbands car to get serviced. Wow! They are amazing! I mean, you can’t go wrong with classic Cracker Barrel. They are nothing if not consistent. Their Apple French toast bake is a new item on the menu and is soooo tasty! It’s fluffy with a wonderful crust and of course the apples are a classic addition to the meal. Dunk it in the pecan syrup and it’s the star of the table! Hubs had the Old timers breakfast which, as always, was amazing. Add a warm biscuit with their country gravy and mmmm chefs kiss. Two coffees rounded out the deal and again, it’s a good cup of coffee. Our server, Stacy was sweet as could be and we had a wonderful time chatting with her. All in all a great experience! Can’t wait to come back for another meal!
