The server J was great. She got a tip. The steak was way overdone. The sides were definitely soggy as can be. The cornbread was hard as a rock. I basically told the manager that I’m willing to pay for what we ate, so I paid $16 for a kid’s macaroni and two drinks, which is what was eaten out of a $60 bill. The rest of the food is left on the table. I love Cracker Barrel. I’d maybe try it again in the future, but the ONLY reason I’d consider it is because of the hospitality.

We ate lunch in Effingham at Cracker Barrel. As usual, everything was delicious! I ordered the Louisiana Shrimp Skillet for the first time. It was fantastic! Another person in our group ordered the kid’s shrimp meal with 1 side of green beans. Another ordered breakfast. And another person ordered the chicken and dumplings with a side of fries. Everyone was happy with their meals. The prices are also reasonable.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had a birthday reward and wait staff showed me how to use it while getting 2 entrees for 19.99. All staff I encountered were professional, polite, and friendly. I really felt like I was treated like family. Will definitely return to a Cracker Barrel in the future. The dining room did feel a little chilly, but we were by a window and the weather was cool.

The best part of this place was the country store ! Loved all the nostalgic goodies. Rainbow Brite , Raggedy Ann, Strawberry Shortcake , Hello Kitty , Blues Clues , Lilia & Stitch , Grinch , Snoopy , candies , decorations , yummy candles , body care , clothing and more … much more.

I was able to place a vegan order but wouldn’t recommend a vegan to eat here. Food is mostly heavy fried comfort type entrees. My husband said his food was good but pretty bland & poured quite a bit of hot sauce on his meal.

This Cracker Barrel was well staffed with great personalities. Everyone we saw and delt with was very kind and willing to help. Our waitress was very attentive.
The food was great. Cracker Barrel has a very unique breakfast that is hard to compare to anywhere else. I always feel that breakfast is breakfast and nothing special, however, Cracker barrel makes it amazing, unique, and not the runn of the mill plates and omelets. Typically, the food across the various Cracker Barrel franchise restaurants are very consistent. This location did not disappoint. The food was delicious and prepared quickly. The portion sizes are large. The shop before the restaurant has lots of unique merchandise available for purchase. I highly recommend the Cracker Barrel Old County restaurant experience if you have not already done so.

Not one to complain—especially being a server myself and knowing how crazy the holiday season can be—but today at Cracker Barrel was a little rough. It took over an hour for us to get our food. By the time it arrived, the table seated right before us had already eaten and left, and people who came in about 45 minutes after us were served at the same time as we were.That being said, the manager was very kind, acknowledged the issue, and truly tried her best to make things right.

First time stopping at a Cracker Barrel for breakfast! Good selection to choose from and our meal was very good! Was greeted by the gal behind the counter when we entered and our waitress was very friendly and professional! Chose this location bc it was one of the few Cracker Barrels we’ve seen along the way with a rating over 4! Would stop at again!
