Home-cooked and served fresh. I hear the rumors but I’m grateful I’ve never experienced them. My sever was warm and gave me just the right amount of attention. The pot roast was flavorful without being salty. The broccoli was plain lol and healthy. I love the apple butter, great meal!

My husband and I are regulars at Cracker Barrel and always get the same food most of the time. This time, however, we were disappointed. My fried catfish fillets were fried together so when I took it apart it was wet on one side and I asked for greens and coleslaw, those greens were pretty good as usual but they cut the portion size down so small its ridiculous. My husband wanted to go for the fried chicken dinner and its no longer available M thru F. Only Saturday and Sunday. So he ordered the grandma’s pancake breakfast. It was not good. The pancakes were gummy in the middle and the one piece of bacon was hard and the ham was too salty. So basically, he paid 16 dollars for scrambled eggs and the manager didn’t even give us anything off the bill. Only a card for a free dessert next time we visit. I mean my husband didn’t even eat half of his food. So we will not be using that free dessert coupon for next visit because there won’t be a next time!! Our waiter was great though

We waited 25 min for a table which was fine. Thy were busy. But after we got a table and our order was taken it took 45 min for us to get our food. The table next to us and our table took forever while other customers that came after us got their food. Our waiter kept avoiding us like she was too scared to come by us knowing we were the only ones not getting our food. When the table next to us asked what was going on they were told when it gets busy they have 2 lines running. So I guess we had the slower cook? I don’t know. Then when we finally got our order it was wrong. The food was good but I had to fast 12 hours the night before and was so hungry. Talk about disappointing. There was no manager in sight.

Food was delicious, but the sides were cold when they were brought out. We ordered salads that were not brought out until the meal was already on the table, so I didn’t eat it. I’d rather eat hot food when it’s hot. Our server was not very attentive after we ordered until it was time for us to leave. The last time I came here, it was with someone else and we waited over 15 minutes and were leaving when someone came over to letuskbow our server was coming. The restaurant had 3 tables with people at them with 3 servers and 2 staff sweeping or wiping off a couple tables.

Cracker Barrel’s food is not consistent. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s just mediocre. I ordered a breakfast to go today and you get to choose your eggs. I ordered scrambled because my husband likes fluffy scrambled eggs. In the pictures online the scrambled eggs look like fluffy scrambled eggs. What I got was what looks like a plain thin dry omelet. This is not scrambled eggs. See the first picture posted. The second and third are from the online menu. They also are not consistent with how much you get for an order of hash brown casserole. Last week my husband ordered one and it barely covered the bottom of the little take out bowl. Today it was twice as much at least. What I would expect. So that was good.

Cracker Barrel can be a hit or miss. This one was close to a miss. We came for lunch and three in our family wanted Chicken Pot Pie only one left and no luck with the other two – this is not the first time they run out of our favorites. Service and atmosphere are usually excellent. I gave them a three rating for being out of food. Also, we then ordered the meat loaf as a replacement and it was not very good. I ordered the chopped steak dinner which was average on this trip. Fried chicken was very good. Will we return to a Cracker Barrel – maybe?

My family have frequented this Cracker Barrel location for many years. Tonight we had a dinner that will be remembered for quite some time because of the service we received. Our servers name was Waylon. Waylon went out of his way to make our meal special -as if we were his guests at his own home.
From helping us navigate the menu, making sure that each of us had everything we needed to enjoy our meal, and to even help package my elderly mother‘s leftovers, he took the time to let us get to know him and him know us.
We look forward to seeing him again next time we are in town.

While traveling from Missouri to our home in Indiana, we stayed overnight in Urbana. It was easy to skip the provided hotel breakfast knowing that Cracker Barrel was literally around the corner. The food was excellent as well as the service. The best aspect was learning that I when I discovered that I left my purse behind, the manager on duty assured me that it was locked in the safe. He also handled shipping it to my home. Thank you to Mark Leathers! Your kindness is greatly appreciated!

I visited last Thursday and I just loved the waitress amber , she was VERY nice , attentive and welcoming! She made sure our drinks were filled & checked on us at the right times ! We will definitely come back here when we come to visit again .
