I ordered the country fried turkey and it was nothing like the picture on the menu. The minute I sat down the waitress wanted my order ~ hello I just sat down and haven’t looked at the menu. The rushed feeling from the waitress continued through the whole time
time. The taste of the food wasn’t bad except for the cranberry relish but the portions definitely don’t match their menu pics. Their soda machine wasn’t working properlu because my coke zero tasted like carbonated water. The replacement lemonade wasn’t sweet at all just sour. Also she didn’t brimg me my corn bread I had to ask for that and my drink refill. I definitely wouldn’t go back.

Don’t order the strawberry stuffed pancakes. It only came with 5 strawberry pieces that was only a teaspoonful of strawberry pieces. I was very disappointed. One of the pieces had dirt on it, showing that they were not cleaned. Disgusting. When I complained the manager brought out a small cup of strawberry pieces and said it only comes with an ounce of berries and it’s not the servers fault. Ridiculous

Had a Family style meal at the Seymour IN location. They worked out a menue with me the week before. And had everything ready and set up when my family arrived. It was about 18 people. They accommodated two servers for the duration. Felicity and Kianna were very attentive and helpful. We spent about 2 hours there and had a really special time. Thank you also to Kim who walked through the process with me every step of the way.

We decided to give them Seymour CB another try after having a great experience last Friday at Edinburgh. We were, again, disappointed. My cod dinner came with 1 regular size steak fry and 7 small. The portions were MUCH smaller than Edinburgh. I asked the waitress about it who said that is their normal portion size. I told her I had not ate a single fry and only have 8 fries. She told me she would ask her manager. The manager came out with a $5 take home container with fries in it. She looked at my plate and tried to tell me that it was their portion for fries and tried to tell me it was 5 oz. prior to cooking. I clarified again that I had not ate a single fry from my dinner. She showed me the container contents in her hand and again told me that their side is 5 oz and mine was weighed prior to cooking. I pointed out that the amount in her hand was no where near the amount on my plate. I was kind but I not appreciate being lied to. She then told me that they had run out and gave me the container in her hand. Both she and the waitress tried to tell me 8 fries is 5 oz. I will go out if my way to Edinburgh from now on. The fish was good. The hashbrown casserole was OK. Fries are cheap. Do not lie to your customers.

Absolutely enjoyed this Brand’s Seymour Entry.
It felt like the golden years of the establishment, all over again.

Cornbread was on point, to begin with, but alas I ordered Chicken and Dumplings, simmered to perfection with a side of onion laced pork n’ beans and some vinegar soaked turnip greens.
Mmm!

I topped it off with a strawberry Mimosa to DIE FOR!~❤️❤️❤️

My son on the other hand, acquired a few chicken strips with a small side of turnip greens and for extra, a pancake with butter-becan syrup!

Everything not only paired so well, but our waitress(Leah, SHOUTOUT!) was absolutely phenomenal despite a higher than normal customer presence at the establishment. She, despite being new to the job, worked like someone with years of experience. We felt welcomed, humored and catered to and she’s left a positive impression of this restaurant in our minds.

Tl;Dr = You can’t go wrong, going here. Good food, good service and great atmosphere.

Food- bacon was burned . Even the extra side of bacon that my husband and I ordered. His hashbrowns looked as if they were grabbed by hand and thrown on his plate. Our biscuits tasted 2days old. We ordered scrambled eggs and received what resembled mini omelette. Etc. We happened to be the only minorities at all there , and on a very cold day like today 16* all tables ahead of the lit fireplace were open , however we were seated near back, farthest away in the coldest area and watched as whites were seated , couples just as us along the line directly forward of the fireplace. We were the only people seated where we were seated for the entire visit. I gave 2 stars for the atmosphere because it was nice- for everyone else. And our waitress? Mom says if you don’t have anything nice to say….
My husband paid the bill and we went to another place and had a wonderful meal. This was the most horrible breakfast EVER. Have a Blessed and beautiful day everyone!

Oh my freaking goodness I cannot say enough amazing things about this lovely Crack!!!!!!!!!!! The staff just TICKLES me in ways that mean so much to me ❤️ Even on the worst days of my gosh darn life, I know that I can pick up my mood with a quick trip down to the Crack! The staff just gives me a smile that I have never quite experienced before in my life. Truly this place is a gorgeous display of beauty, family, community, and grace that has never been shone across my presence before. To give a couple shoutouts, Olivia Wilp, Albrei Boyt, Collin Patterson, Kimmy Bush, Ryleigh Spicer, Avery Williams, and this baddie with the BEST BOB I HAVE EVER SEEN the one, the only manager Angie. From the bottom of my heart I love this place and the people in it like it is my own family. I have never had a place that has been more dear and near to my heart. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of the gorgeous people in this perfect establishment. Unfortunately one man that is not quite so close to my heart is Dayton Smith. I hate to say this, but the host has just not reciprocated the love that I have for him back my way. That will not sour my sweet though!!!! I hope that the heavens open up to hand deliver everyone one of those amazing souls their true hearts desires. God bless the Crack!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Many menu items are still well prepared or I would no longer eat at Cracker Barrel. However, I’m still waiting for the green beans and carrots to be prepared as they were formerly. I no longer order them. The green beans, which used to have excellent flavor, now taste as if they are just dumped from a can. As for the carrots, they now might as well just be served raw. I am far from the only person who has noticed these changes. Also, I would love a return of cabbage as a choice. The additions of “pub” food are okay if that’s what you want.

The service at the Seymour, Indiana location is excellent and I consider many of the employees my friends.

The atmosphere as far as decoration was better before it was “upgraded”. And the lighting is now terrible. Spotlighting some of the decor should not spotlight diners with the remainder of the dining area appearing to be in shadows. Also, it is sometimes chilly in the winter if you are not seated near the fireplace.

I’m going to be honest, I did not come to Cracker Barrel for the food.

I came for the pajamas.

Somehow I walked into what looks like your grandma’s living room gift shop and walked out $40 poorer but spiritually richer, holding the softest pajamas known to mankind. I picked them up for my girl for Valentine’s Day and immediately understood why people just stand around touching everything in that store like it’s a textile museum.

Are $40 pajamas a responsible financial decision? Absolutely not.
Are they unbelievably soft? Also yes. Dangerously soft. “Cancel your plans and become a couch person” soft.

The place has rocking chairs, candy from 1893, decorative signs that mildly judge your life choices, and apparently elite-tier sleepwear hiding near the register.

Didn’t even eat, but the vibes were strong, the nostalgia was aggressive, and the pajamas alone earned five stars.
