We had such a great experience here today! The waiter McKenzie was so great we had to tell the manager about her and Victoria was so friendly and very beautiful! Such amazing people here. The special was to die for and my wife hamburger steak was killer.
They made us feel really great about coming in and honestly it’s beautiful to see people being so nice and friendly in today’s view.
I have to say this is probably the best family based restaurant in the local area.
Plus they have all kinds of cool stuff to look at while you wait! There is literally something for everyone who comes in. Thanks guys for a great memorial weekend meal!

My waitress was amazing but unfortunately I don’t even remember her name. She was a newly graduated from high school young woman. That’s all I remember. But… I absolutely hate sending food back. I mean come on. We’ve all seen the movie Waiting…. But if I’m coming in there ordering literally the most expensive meal on your menu and I have to send it back. Not once but twice? I refused the option to order something else off the menu complimentary even because I didn’t trust them to be competent enough to deliver.

This place has gone downhill. We used to go all the time, but now the service is so bad we can’t go. Every few months we pop in to see if there’s been any improvement. Not yet. There are so few sit down restaurants in Corydon, I’d hate to see it go the same way O’Charley’s did. And they seriously need to do a deep clean. They sat us by the lattice wall, and it was caked with greasy dirt. As was everything hung on it. It took 35 minutes to get our food, and they were out of corn muffins. Huh? Please clean up your act!

We ate around 3pm on a Tuesday. Not very crowded. Service was a little slow. Mixed up our ticket, no big deal. Food was excellent! Biscuits were great tasting!!

The new 9.99 meals with smaller portions were a good deal. Meatloaf and froed chicken were good l, not yhe best, but worth the money. Our server was very friendly but she did forget the hot sauce.

We were seated quickly and our server, Charlea, came to our table promptly. She was attentive and seemed to magically appear with drink refills. Now, I’m picky about my sweet tea. I like it mostly unsweet. Charlea got it perfect.
I ordered the fried chicken, which consisted of a half chicken in the standard four pieces. But I’m a fan of dark meat and no, you can’t substitute. Bad Cracker Barrel. Strike one.
Angel ordered the fried cod. She’s a fan of codfish with her tartar sauce and always has to ask for extra. Tartar sauce, not cod. Charlea took our order and returned quickly with my salad.
Soon our food arrived. It was ok and only ok. The chicken was overcooked and a bit dry. Angel said he cod was mostly breading. I’m a tot fan so I had ordered the hash brown casserole tots. Highly disappointing.
A couple of minutes after we got our food, Charlea came back with our check. We are not fans of this practice and asked another employee about it. Apparently it is company policy. But the check is supposed to be delivered when you are finished eating, not when you are just starting. Maybe I’m just old fashioned. Strike two, Cracker Barrel.
Yes, this is a chain restaurant, and no it’s not haute cusine. But overcooked is overcooked and why the heck can’t I get a second thigh in place of a breast anyway?

I love the shopping area. They have great things to look at and shop for while you wait for your table to be ready. Their biscuits are fantastic, and breakfast is pretty good, too. My only complaint is that more than half of my roast neef was fat. See the picture. All of that was fat. Very sad, honestly.
