I started excited for breakfast, it had been a while since I’d been to Cracker Barrel. We got our drinks and ordered within 10 minutes of sitting down, which was fine because they were busy. Then 30 minutes hit and our server never checked on us or got us refills, he didn’t even bring out our corn bread. 45 minutes rolls around and now we started watching tables that got there after us around the 30 minute mark get their food and leave. At the hour mark I asked where our food was and the server said that they were still making our food, and when I told him that I didn’t understand why we still didn’t get our food and that we had literally watched 5 tables sit, eat and leave he tried to tell me that they were waiting just as long. Once he said that we got up and went to the counter and informed them that we will not be paying for the drinks we had for 1 hour and that we won’t be waiting for our food to come out. I’m am absolutely disappointed that not only did we not get our food our server couldn’t be honest with the situation. I worked as a host and a server, I know that there are things that you can’t control but when something goes wrong create a solution not an excuse. He could have atleast topped off our drinks at the 30 minute mark and gotten us the cornbread we asked for when we asked about our food at the 45minute or even 1 hour marks. There were solutions that could have helped but non were provided.

Delightful experience towards closing on a Friday night. Staff was friendly and courteous, especially our waitress Desiree and manager Mike who introduced himself. Perfectly prepared buttermilk biscuits, chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, fried chicken and seafood sampler. A wonderful way to celebrate our son’s college graduation tonight!

The scrambled eggs came out cold and the pancakes were kinda of like rubber, but the service was kind and outstanding. When I go back I will order eggs over easy instead of scrambled to see if that makes for a fresher breakfast. I included pictures from items for sale in their general store.
