There’s been a lot of chatter in the news lately about Cracker Barrel so I figured I’d see for myself. I stopped into the Brooklyn, Ohio location and I’m glad I did. It was a pleasant surprise. Most of you know I’m not usually a fan of chain restaurants but this one stood out.
Walking into a Cracker Barrel feels like stepping into a time capsule. From the rocking chairs out front to the country music and walls covered in antiques, it’s got that nostalgic charm. For me it brought back memories of road trips with my parents when we’d stop off the highway for a bite.
I went all in with the Country Boy Breakfast and let me tell you it’s a feast. Three eggs, a generous pile of thick cut bacon, biscuits and gravy, grits, and the famous hash brown casserole. It’s the kind of breakfast that makes you forget about portion control and just enjoy yourself.
My waitress Angela was friendly and attentive and made the meal even better. The check came to about seventeen bucks which felt more than fair considering how much food was on the table.
Overall I enjoyed it. No real complaints here. Cracker Barrel in Brooklyn surprised me in the best way and I left full, happy, and thinking they might want to keep a rocking chair out front just for customers like me who need a minute to recover before heading to the car.

We were greeted so kindly as soon as we walked in. Nora, our server, was wonderful! Very attentive, friendly, and efficient! The food was delicious and I love the country home decor. Don’t even get me started on everything I want to buy from the gift shop!! Always a 10/10 experience.

Haven’t been to this CB location in quite awhile we were coming in town from the westside and decided to have lunch here
They had a nice size lunch crowd but we were greeted and still show to our table in short matter of time. Our server was Molly who was very nice and accommodating. She took our order serve our drinks and we revieve our food hot and in a timely manner

I’ve come here twice over the past few weeks after not being here for years. Overall the experiences were good with friendly staff, but the food tended to miss the mark for me (the biscuits and steak fries were great though).
I did ask my waitress if the burger was good and she said she hasn’t had meat in 17 years, which is fine. But when she asked how I wanted it cooked, I said “no pink” and she asked me to repeat myself, eventually saying she doesn’t know what that means. I understand she hasn’t eaten meat for a while but was definitely shocked that as a waitress she didn’t know what that meant, especially considering meat tends to come pink and “no pink” seemed self explanatory. Overall though, she was good 🙂

A casual restaurant with good food. They have a decent selection of food. I really like their pot roast. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful when it came to the menu, and she had a lot of patience when it came to waiting on us. I truly appreciate that.

This was probably the perfect time to visit. It was empty so we got good service. Our waiter forgot our biscuits were on point with everything else. No complaints. The food was good. My bacon was boring, tho. Literally tasted like cardboard, but my pancakes and fried apples were terrific

First time visiting one of these locals(about a week from posting this review), after a quick wait we got seated. The service was polite and friendly. Some menu items were unavailable but it was clearly do to it being a day after the tornado when I visited. I ordered the southern fried chicken with the loaded sweet potato and harshbrowns. This has to be one of the most tender and delicious fried chicken I’ve had in a very long time. Food was excellent and the soda variety ib the gift shop part was superb, next time I’m in Cleveland I have to stop by again.

Good hometown place with a rustic atmosphere and great service. The decor is an old style mix. It has a fireplace in the dining room for a very relaxed, enjoyable experience. The staff were wonderful and the food was delicious. Take the family. You won’t regret it
