First bit of my perfectly cooked steak was grizzel and I had to remove it from my taster. Then another and another. Shrimp was all good. Staff was exceptional as usual. Not going to let that stop me from dining there just more selective on my orders.

We were seated immediately, our server Jazmin(sp) was really sweet and answered all of my friends questions about some of the items on the menu. The food was brought out quickly, well prepared, and we were checked on several times during the meal, but not so much that we felt bothered. The cashier who rang us up at the end was friendly, and when I couldnt access my awards member account (we went through all of the options I could think of that it would be under, he was very patient with me) he helped me set up a new one. All in all, 10/10 all across the board. The store and restaurant were both clean, everyone was friendly, and the food was good as usual.

Updated Post (10.17.2024): We tried the restaurant again recently. Unfortunately, they have not improved. We ordered take out and they use the receipt to check for accuracy to ensure all items are received. Unfortunately, this practice is only useful if the items are actually checked. My husband ordered the Turkey and Dressing, and they forgot the dressing.

Compared to competitors most of the food tasted like it was out of a bag. The Maple Bacon Chicken itself was delicious but the fried pickles, biscuits, and dumplins were lacking in flavor. The meatloaf was also dry.

Lesa was our server and she is absolutely the best waitress I’ve ever had. She sincerely cares about delivering the best customer service experience possible. Cracker Barrel should promote her to a leadership role where she can make an even bigger impact on their business. The meal was delicious as always but Lesa is top notch!!!! I gave her a $20.00 tip on a $22.00 meal. Such a pleasant and kind lady

I got the breakfast burger It was delicious. The fries were crispy on the outside soft and the inside. The burger itself was amazing. The hamburger was a steak burger. It was cooked. Good the eggs and the bacon and the rest of it was also cooked good. I give a kudos to Cracker Barrel for a wonderful meal and a warm environment. The waitress was super nice and friendly couldn’t ask for a better experience.

I’ve ordered from here before and it was good. Today….y’all dropped the ball. The only thing that was “good”/“accurate was the pancakes and sausage. However, when those tasted weird. Then this is all the eggs y’all give me?…really? Sausage and egg bowl missing all the toppings AND the egg…smh. It will be a good minute before this location gets my service again.

The Winchester Rd Cracker Barrel seemed to be extremely off kilter! We were there around 9:45 am…several patrons in the restaurant but not crowded. Shane, a 4 server, was the host. Mgmt was running in circles bussing tables. Evidently, no bussing personnel on duty. The longer we were there the more crowded the place got. Seemed to be short staffed as only 2 servers were handling our section. Took a VERY LONG time to get our food. When our food did arrive…my husband’s pancakes were COLD. Wouldn’t melt the butter! He had the Momma’s pancake breakfast. I had the Strawberry French Toast Bake. It is very good if you like sweet things, which I do. Small serving of French Toast Bake. When my husband told our server that his pancakes were cold, she promptly brought him out some more pancakes , which were warm. The growing number of patrons, the Mgmt staff literally running in the restaurant, the short staff, the long wait time for food, the LOUD roar of everyone talking… what could’ve been an enjoyable breakfast turned into an exhausting dining experience. Don’t think we’ll visit this CB again anytime soon!

It took me awhile to decide to return to this restaurant after the last incident and here we are using gift cards we received for Christmas. Well if you are going to offer a weekend special of Nashville Chicken then they should be Taught how to make it. I received a huge plate of chicken with a side of Nashville sauce. When I mentioned it wasnt made right the waitress brought a side of ranch. It doesn’t taste right dipping in one then the other plus no pickles. We never got refills and felt rushed for our order. I guess training wasn’t done so customers have to pay.

Cracker Barrel always has good basic meals at a good price. Breakfast tends to be under $10 a person. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. There is plenty of parking and plenty of seating.

While the food was good, the service and personality of Erica made the visit outstanding. Anyone who stops at this restaurant on Elkhorn Rd. in Lexington should ask to sit in her section. She made it a memorable experience. JG.
